Caught mine @ 6:05am server, just had got to the area and there was plenty after my 3rd i found my rare. things to note if you kill a rare in battle, exit game immediately and relog. you will notice the same pet in front of you with same lineup and same qulity of pets. it has worked wonders for me lol.

Scalding Pools around the Geyser Fields appears to be the best place to catch these li'l globs.

These were pretty painful. When I finally saw and captured one a few months ago it was poor quality. Each and every time I happened to see one afterwards was also poor. Untiil today.

Bliz had to perform a server restart so I made my way over there. After the restart the pools were full of these guys. The very first one was a rare.

This is one really good battle pet. I use it whenever I boost my low level ones, as well as during PvP pet battles. 

Caught my rare ljust about 6:30pm server time.  The first time I was hunting through the poos last night I couldn't find a single Slimeling in any of the pools.  I was popping back through the area several times after 11pm server.  I'm wondering if they tend to spawn more during daylight hours rather than night time hours.

I have gone through like 15 of these with no rare :(

You can find them densely packed in the Scalding Pools.

There are so many that they could make for a good area to level several teams, just make sure to pull your pets out of battle early so they dont die from poison DoTs, this little Slimeling casts a lot of them, and repeated dying tends to slow the level grind :)

Found near the Oily wolves close to ads so clear first. Level 20 rare, common and poor all in same spot. 1:45am server

Can be found in Borean Tundra, level 21. For some reason they usually attract a few adds as well, always had 2 or 3 when I tried.

The Oily Slimeling is a really powerful pet. Get a rare one and lvl it to 25 and you got yourself a real killer machine. Its "Corrosion" and "Acidic Goo" are really strong attacks against most pet families. I used my rare Oily Slimeling in several of the hardest pet battle fights in the "Pandaren Spirit Tamer" quests and in the "Beasts Of Fable" quests. I also use this most of the time boosting new pets that I lvl up.

So twice now I've caught this pet with an Attack bonus. Both were level 19 after I caught them. As soon they hit 20, the Attack bonus is gone. Has anyone else had that problem?

I finally found a rare after about 25 attempts. They seemed to spawn at a fair rate.

there was 7 of these cool little slime balls in the scalding pools 5 poor quality 1 common and 1 rare today i got the rare

Been working on these for a bit now. Lots here at 10am server time, but ~20 fights and all are poor or common! Gonna keep trying! But early-mid morning seems to be a good time for them. Good luck collectors!

flew around the area and found 3...all poor quality but caught one anyways. They didn't respawn so I checked back a few hours later and there was a dozen or so...one was a rare.

Gallatyn, I heard it sugguested that when you are flying you see your "realm", but when you land you are phased into the Cross Realm Zone (More people to party with, less pets available)

found an uncommon in the scalding pools at 60.34. good luck.
