Unless you are very lucky, getting a rare Oozeling may take some time. I ended up leaving one character in the area and checking in every once and awhile to battle whatever had spawned. Took about 50 battles before I found one.
Went there on one char circled the area for 2 hours waiting finally found one inside, common tamed it anyways. Got onto another server checked right before heading to bed lucky I did Rare was just waiting there. Note to all check both sides down below rare was on the right side (if facing the boss guy) didnt show up till after I went past him into other cave section.
This thing took about an hour for it to spawn. It wasnt even a common. Ughh
Found The pet right away, rare too. I'm happy i found it in time before this other person did, Level 25 and kicking ass!
I'm running H/H breed right now and liking it. Stacking both Creeping Ooze and Acidic Goo has been working great. I go back and forth between Creeping Ooze and Corrosion for its second ability since more coverage is always nice. Does anyone know for sure if H/H or P/P breed is superior for this pet though? I like my H/H one, but since magic has a nice defensive passive ability to help absorb big hits I was thinking the P/P breed might be better.
I got super lucky with this one and found one right away. Not to mention it was a rare on first try ;D
I went mid week around noon and there was not a single one there. I killed every maggot, they all re-spawned. I killed them again, they re-spawned again. I did this for an hour killing everything in sight until a 90 Draenei joined me in the cave. Finally, while I was up on the top ledge waiting, 1 spawns below. Guess who got it? Not me. Went back today at 10am server time and there were about 7 in the cave. Checked them all (without killing them) and no rares so I took my common and left.
Killed everything inside and outside the cave for about 10ish minutes. No oozlings spawned. So I left my toon there, did a scenario on another toon and came back to 4-5 jade oozling inside the cave. I caught mine just at the entrance.
I've 'farmed' here before, but all it included was running in and looking for already spawned Oozlings. Try clearing the caves...not of the mobs, but of the critters! After killing every maggot I came across (inside and on top of the cave), I spawned over 12 of these Oozlings in a about 10 minutes and was able to find my rare.
Just to mention, I found my ooze sitting just outside the entrance of the cave. There were a couple more of them inside the actual cave but they can be found just outside of it as well.
Draenor Server EU. I flew into Hinterlands at 12:20 server time, and there was an oozling just outside the cave entrance, and it was a rare too, woop! Good luck to the other collector's out there.
i flew into The Hinterlands at about 7.30am and found 6 oozlings inside the cave. After batteling all of them and capturing my self a white quality one, then i found two out side the cave.
the first one was green so i captured this one and at the same time i was awarded a Flawless Battle-Stone. http://www.wowhead.com/item=92741/flawless-battle-stone which i used stright away, came away well pleased.
I have parked two chars on two different servers and checked in on a regular basis over two days long. In the end I found the p/p breed rare I was looking for. This shows that it pays off to have a lvl 60 DK or two on different servers. On Blackhand EU the cave was empty most of the time, while on Aegwynn there where lots of slimes to battle. :)
Currently sitting at two hours of running around in circles, as well as periodically checking throughout the day, clearing slimes and maggots, no sign of a rare quality. I have seen only four spawns, all uncommon. More people show up, both Alliance and Horde. This has been one of the more frustrating pets to hunt for, I'm beginning to think I may just leave it at the level 11 uncommon I have and upgrade it with a stone.
went looking last night found a rare first one but ended up killing it so ill try again tonight
Found a poor one ages ago just by flying over. Decided to go back for a rare and killed the whole cave in order to spawn just one, but most times they seemed to spawn soon after I killed The Direglob. I found 3 more poors and an uncommon. And one I inadvertently killed with AOE on the slimes. I was going to level the uncommon but it is a breed 3. One of my poors was a breed 4, so maybe I'll just wait for a stone and upgrade that one instead. 6+ passes and no bag with Disgusting Oozeling.
Battle pet - undead annihilation. This is my go-to pet to gobble up and digest almost anything. Acidic Goo (damage each round +25% damage), followed by Corrosion (increasing damage from each hit) then Absorb (hit plus 100% of hit is a heal) for a couple of rounds really slaps down the health of almost any opponent, and keeps Mr. Ooze bubbling along.
No spawns when I arrived killed the whole cave three times and got a spawn 21:28-bronzbeard poor quality but I will look for a stone for this as spawn rate seems poor
Of all the 5 oozes the Jade Oozeling is the only one which can have breed 4; the only breed with all points in Power. I would suggest that you invest time in obtaining one of these with this particular Breed ID. If you have the time, try and grind for a Rare one, otherwise subject yourself to a lesser quality one and upgrade it. It'll be worth it for the lovely diversity :)
Just find 4 x poor and 1 x common....17:10 UE server
