I have read and have not seen this... Has this ever been seen in the "Back Row" in a Pet Battle? Or is it always going to be the Main Pet???

I am having very bad luck finding this.

I'm a little dissappointed.   I'm excited to have her, not sure she was worth a Flawless Battlestone.....I'm not seeing the greatness.   I'm trying to level her.   My Anubisath Idol, at level 17, is able to take out 3 level 24s.   At 19 she can't even handle one.

This pet is too good, I believe that it needs a  small nerf. A simple cool down on haunt say 3 rounds so it is like other spells of its kind. That way there is actual rewarding counter play to the spell. If it gets dodged then you got outplayed just like every other spell in battle pets. It would still be good but you wouldn't see it on EVERY other team.

Maybe somebody can help a Forsaken out. What is the "preferred" way to catch this elusive battle pet? Should I camp out or fly around to the different locations?

After 3 hours of searching Northrend I found an uncommon B/B one :) I am really happy, called him "Weeping Angel" as a referrence to Doctor Who.

I completely disagree that the H/H breed is at any disadvantage. That's the one I have, and I routinely beat the other breeds of this pet. Why? If they want to duke it out, I Haunt and come back with plenty of health left to Doom and Haunt the next pet. If they Haunt and Doom mine, then I Haunt their next pet and avoid all that damage (except the first round of Haunt). The extra Health just keeps her keepin' on. I wouldn't swap for a different breed if I could.

Just caught a Rare B/B at the Ruins of Eldra'nath in Borean Tundra at about 3:30 AM server time. Easy fight for a Darkmoon Rabbit :)

I got mine today at 7:00pm PST in Boran Tundra outside Unu'pe on the Stormscale server! It was even a Green! Now to go level her! :)

I have been using the map and coords from:

Today at about 2:00 PM US CDT, in a small crowd of green paws* just west of Rivers Heart in Sholozar, I found a level 20 poor quality Unborn Val'kyr.   Finally!  I may have a different add-on.  Doesnt show B/B or H/H.  It does say she is a Rare Guardian.  I used a battle stone on her - she is now a level 19 rare.

Max Health - 1806

       Power -  276

       Speed -  228

I think I'm going to enjoy her.  Happy hunting!  (The *Green Paws are from an add-on, in case you use something else.)

I don't know if its something new or what, but I found a grey B/B unborn, my first yet, went to fight it and saw that it had Unholy Ascension, so I immediatley forfeited in hopes of reseting it to Haunt, but after I did it was gone!

There was no one else arround, it just despawned :/

So, maybe they hotfixed the forfeit work-arround? No idea. Maybe I got bugged or a phased played I couldn't see grabbed it, but be warned.

A couple of weeks ago I found a rare in Zul'Drak.  I underestimated my corehound's abilities.  He killed her.  I was heartbroken.  Today, I found an uncommon in Grizzly Hills NE of Dun Argol.  This time I was successful in capturing her.  I used a battlestone to make her rare.  Very happy!

B/B breed wins out due to more power and will definetly win out in a match up against a H/H breed. Haunt is the strongest ability in the game right now. Not only does it give you the most damage for your buck(unless haunting an aquatic) but you will also get an inbuilt avoidance and free switch to pet of your choice, this is quite insane. Other than that it still has powerful attacks like Shadow Shock and Curse of Doom. Even if you don't got with haunt you can kill one pet and do Unholy Ascension.

As a Priest, I would have loved to have the Unborn Val'kyr. I've been searching for her all the time, but I never finds. Sad.

(Update) Finally found her, just 5 minutes ago below The Crystal Vice in Dragonflight, rare quality too, yey! :)

I didnt get it either, why the valk is high rated. Today I did "the longest day", now I get it. I used the valk a lot. He/she has a lot of health and does a fair amount of damage. When timed well he kills the first enemy. Make sure you do 1 hit @ the next enemy before you die. When the valk dies his survivability kicks in, then use haunt. Its +/- 100 extra damage every turn.

I don't get it.. why is this the top rated battle pet?? Yes she looks amazing but for battling this pet is very weak. I've had Val'kyr for about 7-8 months now and definitely not my choice in a team. Battling others she falls very fast. So WHY is everyone rating her the best? Just because something is rare spawn and looks really cool does not mean they are good in battle.. look at Azure Whelpling, horrible stats as well.

After MUCH non-success trying to get the Nexus Whelpling rare I went to Bor'Gorok to quest for a bit, periodically checking the spawn-point conveniently just outside the post (Horde). At 0010 or so CC server time I was JUST about to turn in for the night but went to check one more time. She was there but I worried if my pets were up to it as I've been levelling for awhile but didn't think I was 'there' yet. Lucky she was a grey but I'd been saving a stone just for her. H/H Bombling for the win.

After doing 1 round trip going Spawn to Spawn all around the whole of Northrend in a Loop, I went the following order, "Borean Tundra > Sholazar Basin > Icecrown > Zul'Drak > Grizzly Hills > Howling Fjord > Crystalsong > Dragonblight", The very last spawn location, Dragonblight, was where I found my Uncommon Unborn Val'kyr H/H.

Likely theres a more efficient route, but still it was fun. Doing it as a round trip was an adventure, and the end was rewarding! :)

Val'kyr are considered "unborn" until they vanquish a creature of high nobility.
