Finally grabbed a H/S rare at 35:54 in Kun-Lai Summit, right near where Kali is for the Beasts of Fable achievement. Took me about 90 minutes of searching. Don't give up! :) They're out there!
Just got my rare while searching, and didn't find another one along the path even though i looked, I feel very fortunate to have found this one...:) What a great pet to battle with, superb attacks and I can't wait to get leveled and enter the tournament with this pet!!!
Not a bug. 305/273 is standard for a P/S. I've got one and also a P/B which is 305/257.
Great pet to have, extremely difficult to handle if you're against it. I usually swap in an undead pet and nuke it accepting the fact that it will die anyway but will get in enough hits to kill him off. Otherwise any pet that has a block effectively neutralises his attacks (such as darkmoon zeplin), otherwise he is almost unstoppable i find.
One of the strongest pets for sure. He will 1-2-Punch almost any dragonkin or elemental that the enemy trainer uses last. (Because then the trainer can't swap it out when it gets stunned.)
Superb against Yu'la in the tournament. Use P/P of him with an anubisath idol.
Swap to idol
Deflect the lift off
Swap back to runt
Rinse and repeat!!!
Finish it with crush if needed.
I use two runts just in case. You can never have enough runts!
Warchild: Arcane Winds also prevents stuns, so that may be what you're experiencing.
Btw, I love the fact that the Kun-Lai Runt has two separate synergistic move sets. It's what makes them one of the strongest pets, IMO.
Warchild, the issue you are describing mey be in relation to the type of pet you are battling. Critters are immune to any type of stun, root or sleep effects. Which makes the Kun-Lai Runt much less affective.
So I do have a question with this pet. As I have read the attacks this guy does....
If you chill the target you should then have 100% of stunning the target on the next move with deep freeze thus using the last attack which in theory should do double dmg(Takedown). Except every now and again the target does not get stunned. Is this a bug or game design?
Found three Greens on the path all within 5 minutes of each other. No rares though.
Was just flying and see one on the map. I remembered it was high rated, so I landed and it was a rare! While leveling it became clear why he is high rated. Massive amounts of damage!
One of the best batle pets in the game.
The secret for this pet is the time when you use Frost Shock and Deep Freeze. In many batles i can use 2/3 times Frost Shock before i risk use Deep Freeze. When well played it can get a kill using Takedown after, or forcing the opponent to change pet winning an extra attack.
easy to beat almost any undead will do i perfer my neith-unborn valkyr use course of doom and spam shadow shock if he stuns you its ok cause if u use shadow shock when course of doom will hit boom 1 round ko and if he kills you use haunt then he is realy beat you can use fossleized hatchling so if the kun lai runt is its main pet use bone storm to tank around 150 damage do it as soon as cooldown is over before you know it hell be dead and they never used him
Great tank. I laugh hysterically when he clobbers enemies and sends them flying. I use him as pet for Gnome because he is bigger than him and it makes people do double take. Thinking team him with new St. Bernard pet that has great pet heals. I was questing with a lower level toon or it may have been my hunter but there were several on the slopes not far from the monastary in Kun-Lai Summit when I got him. I am glad I got him because when I was in the area today with my DK I didn't see a single runt.
This is a total beast, hard hitting and can take some damage as well.
Got a rare, P/P around 3 am EST, near the battle pet daily.
Perfect teams with Winter's Little Helper and Tiny Snowman
Stinker's Stench can help you not be one hit killed, and luck of course.
In the top 5 favorite critter killers!
This is a no brainer for the most part.
Chill -- Still -- Kill
Though it does have some occasional problems on some of the beasts of fable and the Pandaran Elementals.
