This pet was available for a limited time as an incentive to players to merge their existing WoW account(s) with a Battle.net account. The accounts must have been merged by November 11, 2009 to receive the pet. After successfully merging their accounts, players received Mr. Chilly via an in-game mail. All future characters on that account will also receive the pet.

I merged my old Battle.net account with my current one and got Mr Chilly on my more recent account. The old account never got it when I merged the WoW account into battle.net back in 2009 for some reason so I was very happy.

 

 

If you have an old WoW/battle.net account dating back to 2009 or before it is still possible to get him, just combine the accounts into your current battle.net account.

 

Mr. Chilly CAN'T be set free or put in a cage and sold on the AH.

I think selling some of the rare companions on the ah doesn't make them rare anymore but i can't wait to buy a Murloc :D

Upset that you can't get this pet or other unavailable ones? Well in MoP, because of pet battles, any pet can be sold through the AH! I'd reccomend saving up some G though, cuz they're probably gonna be pretty expensive.

Dec 2011 Mr Chilly was delivered by Briana as a log on ( I think ) during winter feast dec 15 th . Wonder if it is a recycle of promotional pet ?

Verified - I merged an old, unmerged WoW account with my bnet today - 11/12/2010 - and got the Mr Chilly sent to all toons on my original account as well. If you're hesitating thinking you can't get this guy, do it now! =D

Dont know if you know this alrady, but if you take a swim with this pet, and pengu for that matter, thay will do a swimming animation.

Mr. Chilly does respond to /sexy! He just does not respond every time. Keep trying, and eventually he will rapidly scoot away from you while leaving a frosty cloud in his wake.

If you still haven't got Mr. Chilly, try the following:

- Log in on EU/US Battle.net
- Change your password
- Relog onto WoW
- Receive Mr. Chilly

A GM suggested these steps to Aldun, one of our members, and he confirmed that it works. Apparently doing this refreshes your account details and "checks" if you received the penguin.

After some research i have come to the conclussion that Breanni and the Kalu'ak might be used for spreading the Lich Kings latest batch of death knight penguins!
I mean look at the eyes, Pengu has the red eyes of Blood. Mr. Chilly, the blue eyes of Frost.
Luckly we haven't see one with green eyes of Unholy yet.

This precious little guy has the same vocalizations as Pengu. But, his stature is a bit smaller. And, his swim animation is identical to Pengu's, as well.

Let me tell you about Mr. Chilly. When this little guy arrives in your mail and you "learn" him, the egg stays in your inventory so that you may mail him to future alts in case he gets deleted or something happens. He is much like WOTLK's Frosty or last years Big Blizzard Bear. It is a good idea to store one in the bank just in case, and delete him on your other characters if you wish!
