Rewarding this for buying the CE for StarCraft 2 may leave some players with Thor feelings. Some may even shed a bitter Týr. Personally, though, I'm just left thunderstruck.

Sure, they could have gone with something a little more Loki to avoid angering the pet-collecting community, but I'm glad they didn't.

I mean... look at it. It just kicks so much Asgard. They made this pet Ragnarök.

Is it odd that I purchased the special edition version of StarCraft 2 exclusively for this pet? I don't regret it - my bank account does.

I have also noticed the decline of Mini Thor's pure awesome. When I purchased the special edition for him I didn't know the batteries would run out so quick!!!

Has anybody noticed that this pets animations are not happening constantly like they used to before 4.0.1?

An awesome pet that will fly around you while firing off rounds from its unlimited ammo (Cheater ^_^). With a pet cookie it can be the size of a player model which just makes it cooler. Now if only it could aim it's guns at a boss...

This is a VERY Active pet... and for this reason it is one of my highest rated pets personally.
As soon as you put him out he is shooting away or flying about. Kudos to Blizzard for making him so active and fun to have following you.
I gave this guy a pet biscuit and stood outside the Dalaran Bank and BOY OH BOY does this "little" guy know hot to pull a massive crowed as he flew high above even my Tauren's head! You could almost imagine at this biscuit size, a little gnome inside the suit.

Notes section says "This pet features a tag of <The Destroyer> rather than <Name's Companion>."

This pet in fact has a three line name/title:

Mini Thor
<The Destroyer>
<Name's Companion>

Also when Mini Thor flies around the name and title tags don't move with him. They stay fixed to the spot where he takes off and lands at.

My only gripe with this pet is that Thors don't/shouldn't fly! Thors are way too massive to fly, and in fact it takes the capacity of one whole Medevac to move one! Even a mini-Thor should be too huge to fly! ;)

@ Mr337

From what I could tell, when I got it myself on my account, there isn't a pet-key for it. When you merge the Starcraft 2 game with the battle.net account, that also has your WoW account on it, it automatically appears in the mail box of all your WoW characters.

I must admit that I panicked a bit when I couldn't find the pet code, while I installed SC2!

The pet is attached to your CD Key for Starcraft II. There is no way to get the pet without buying the Collector's Edition of the game.
Now, if you are a fan of Starcraft and a WOW Player, you owe it to yourself to shell out the extra scratch for the Collector's Edition, as it not only comes with the pet and the in-box extras (Soundtrack CD, Cinematic DVD, Issue #0 Comic Book, Hardcover Artbook, Metal 2gb USB Dogtag, etc.) but it also comes with Warcraft and Diablo portraits and unit emblems.

I love this thing to pieces! With a pet biscuit it's as tall as my blood elf. And it plays fetch! It bounces the ball on it's head as it bounds back to you!

Looks like i better go out next week and put a deposit on Diablo 3 CE..
The thing i like about all this cross promotion is, the other big Blizzard titles are really really good games.
I only got SC2 CE for the Dogtag usb with SC and Brood Wars on it.

This is btw the 2nd pet that has a title under it's name (The Destroyer), just like the Mini Diablo :)

I tried out to see what happens if you let a Lil' XT, Grunty or Zergling near it. But nothing seems to work.

I would love to see Mini Thor destroying Lil' XT or vice versa. :)

Love my THOR! His flying animations are my fave. I am a giant fan of all the robotic pets! I noticed that he looks a bit blurry, but that might just be my video settings. He's an awesome addition to my collector's editions. "Hell, it's about time."

To the comment regarding flying Thors... This is a "Mini" Thor... thus it can fly! But if we're getting picky about WoW's reality, rugs shouldn't fly either :)

I love this pet, he's in as many battles as I can get him into. Sticky Bomb is missable/dodgeable though :(... Just time your Blocks just right. When the bomb drops, it happens at the end of that particular round. So for example, the moth will attack and then curl into a cocoon, if your pet goes first, then the cocoon will break once the Thor attacks, exposing your pet to the bomb. If your pet strikes last, then it'll be in the cocoon state for the bomb. It's possible that burrow and fly high have similar limitations. But it's all about timing.

For those who have this little bugger, you also have a ridiculously strong battle attack. His Sticky Bomb appears to be unblockable (Murkimus got squashed), unavoidable (high-flying and back line doesn't help, probably not burrow or dodge either.) and hits really hard.

I don't like him :(

Does it matter if you have a PC and get the Mac CE of SCII for the pet? Will it work anyway? I am thinking yes since all you need to do is put in the code in your accnt to confirm you have it but I am wondering if anyone knows for sure.

Being small has its virtues. Take Mini Thor, for instance. A real Thor is about 20 times the size and costs a small fortune to produce. He's heavy, cumbersome and slow. Weighing in at over 15 tons, he requires an empty Medivac to fly him into battle. But Mini Thor? Superior in every way! Costing less than an SCV, Mini Thor is quick, agile and light enough to take flight on his own! Small rules! *flexes* Gnomes FTW!!!
