This is one of four BoU Winter Veil pets that drops at random from the [Gaily Wrapped Present]. You must be level 20+ to loot this item. This item appears under the Winter Veil tree in Ironforge (alliance) or Orgrimmar (horde) on and after December 25th through January 1st, but the [Red Helper Box] can often be found at auction year-round.

A friend of mine, Duerma (Feathermoon) uses one of these to represent her character's daughter. It's the closest thing I've seen to a Gnomish child in game!

For high levels, there is a quest reward from a daily in Storm Peaks that is a reliable source of snowballs.

Originally this pet had a standard hat hairstyle just like the one shown on Player characters. It was changed in a recent patch along with her male counterpart.

sorry to be rude to girl players, but she's hot. along with her male counterpart, you should be able to change the hairstyle like on players

My best advice for a way to "farm" this pet, as well as the other Winter's Veil pets, is to level a whole bunch of alts to lv20+. This in itself shouldn't take long, and it guarantees more chances at actually getting the pets for free, and not having to pay for them.

Also, if you do buy them, try to do it when there's an abundance on the AH. Come July-August, these pets can fetch as much as 10k+, depending on your server.

K, word of advice: This pet doesn't really appeal to me, but I learned to summon it anyways. I found one under the tree, and the next day one in the AH for only 10 silver!! I kept one, and am waiting to sell the other in the summer time to earn lots $$$$ when it is rarer. So if you see a bargain, or still have one. Wait to sell it later, just like the snowballs.
