Mists of Pandaria
Patch 5.1.0 | Posted: November 27, 2012
After completing the quest Zen Master Aki, the quest chain for the Pandaren Spirit Tamers will unlock.
Completing the initial Pandaren Spirit Tamer quest will allow players to choose one of four pets. It will also unlock the Spirit Tamer dailies, which reward Pandaren Spirit Pet Supplies.
The bag reward from each different Spirit Tamer daily has a chance to drop a corresponding pet, so it's possible to acquire all four pets; Pandaren Air Spirit, Pandaren Earth Spirit, Pandaren Fire Spirit, and Pandaren Water Spirit.

The elements of Pandaria can be cute and playful, until their homeland is threatened.
working 5.4 2man carry strat
pet 1 slot- lvl1 your choice
pet 2 slot lvl 25 s/s dmf rabbit or spring rabbit
pet 3 slot lvl 25 stoned mechanical dragonling
pet 1 takes the cc, swap out for rabbit, rabbit kills elemental, swap in dragonling, throw up decoy, breath until 2 moves till dead, throw up bombing run, use rabbit to finish off mole after dragonling dies
Just use a rabbit. It's not sexy. It's not cute. But a fast rabbit is one of the most important pets in any pet collector's arsenal. Against the elemental, a Rabbit is absolutely amazing. You avoid all of his stuns and big attacks while slowly wearing him down. Elemental damage is also naturally weak against critters. Sometimes people just get too cute for their own good.
Mudslide is really good for setting it up so that your enemy can't switch out their next pet in the middle of your Kun'lai Runt's combo, or any other similar move set. Just use it, kill your opponent, and when they send their next pet in it will be trapped for three rounds. Just be careful, as this can work against you too if you aren't prepared.
Great battle to level pets. Rapana Whelk (absorb/acidic goo/dive) and Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling (breath/thunderbolt/decoy). Open with any pet you want to level and switch to the snail after the stun. Acidic goo -> dive -> absorb. Gets into about 1/3 to 1/2 health of the 2nd ooze pet. Resist using Mechanical's decoy on the ooze, just use breath and one thunderbolt if ~200 health left to damage rat too. On the rat it's breathx2, decoy, breath until dead. Works every time.
Used a Fluxfire Feline,Summit Kid, and a Lucky Quilen Cub to win this fight. I specifically picked this pet out for my reward so I wouldn't have to deal with this fight ever again ;P
I would seriously suggest making this the first pet you get when you get to pick from completing the quest so you don't have to face him again as he is without a doubt, the hardest.
For those without a fast rabbit, any speed Snail works great against the Spirit. Same critter benefits + self-heals, damage reduction, and Dive to wreck it.
The hardest part of the fight is actually the rat/mole for me. I cheese it with Grunty but even then a Stone Rush crit makes my day a little darker. Just don't be tempted to use a Mechanical against it.
Thundering Pandaren Spirit fight:
I used all rare quality pets for this fight. Rapana Whelk for the Thundering Pandaren Spirit as it has shortened CC times, a Dive, and a Shield. This helped with lower damage taken and high damage dealt. For Sludgy (critter) I used a Scorpid with Snap, Crouch, and Rampage. Then I used Spiny Terrapin for Darnak the Tunneler, mainly because I don't have a mechanical pet at 25, but also because he has nearly 2k hit points, a heal, and a potential stun.
I have leveled all the pets I have that appear as best on this site and then some. I am having issues with the quest to get these guys. Any suggestions on a team would be very much appreciated.
alas i did not defeat mine but purchased him in the ah. he is perfect for my tauren shaman. anybody got any team suggestions for this guy?
I've settled with a nice team to defeat this one:
Arctic Hare - Isn't affected by the stun attack and kicks pretty hard because of it's speed.
Lil' XT - Works for me untill i get a stone for my Mech Dragon, it can Repair and punch it's way through that blob.
Anubisath Idol - Nice defence and attack the beast with the Mechanical Demolish attack
What i don't get is the droprate. I'm bursting at the seams with fire elementals, but no Air or Earth whatsoever.
I usually use a mirror strider/Fluxfire feline/moth combination. Make sure the moth's abilities aren't the multi attack ones. Works for me and I got my Earth spirit pet drop today :)
I'm fighting a serious disadvantage with only 7 pets at lvl 25, but I was able to beat the Earth spirit this morning with my
Cogblade Raptor/ Clockwork Gnome/ Emperor Crab... with plenty of room to spare =)
Thanks to the hints of other on this forum!
Time to level a few other pets!!!
i use a eternal stider/kun-lai runt/grassland hopper if the earth spirt comes out first use that order never fails for me
I know a lot of people like to use a rabbit to take down the elementals, but if you have a snail for the elemental then your rabbit is great against the beast. Dodge the turn after he puts up his shield (for burrow) and the stone rush will hurt him as much as you.
I got this from Wowhead - but it works a treat and makes the fight very short. Make sure the elemental is first up
Rapina Whelk - Celestial Dragon - Fluxfire Feline - all rare at level 25
Put the dragon up first, its first attack will not land - Swap to Whelk.
Use Acidic Goo, then Dive, finish with Toxic Waste.
Dragon - Moonfire, Ancient Blessing then Breath - heal again if you can.
Fluxfire: Claw to finish off Critter, then Wind-up, Prowl, Wind-up again for mega damage.
For this fight I use Artic Hare, Worgan Pup and Clockwork Gnome For the Hare I use the multiple claws for one and dodge for 2. For the Worgan I use double damage buff and speed buff as attacks 2 and 3. For the Gnome I use missile for number 3.
I always start out with Hare and hope to get the spirit pet and if not I abandon till I do. On move 1 I use Dodge, he will then try to stun and miss on move 2 I do a multi attack and he will miss with his big attack because of the 2 round dodge buff. I then contine to use attack 1 till his big attack is available again and I then use doidge which will also make the stun miss me on the next round. At this point he is dead. The critter comes out next I use the hare till death then use the pup. I cast the double damage buff first and then at most it takes 3 shots to kill the critter and I work on the last pet a beast till my pup is dead. Usually by theis time I plant a rocket and on next round launch it and most of the times he will be dead.
if you have one at your disposal, a pet that can put up Arcane Winds simplifies the fight exponentially; Arcane winds prevents all stun effects. Blue Dragon Whelps in particular are what I use (Lil' T), and as long as you force the critter-slime to come first and manage to get the weather up right before either your pet or the critter dies, the Spirit's stuns dont take effect.
This battle took me the longest of all the spirits, and of them the Earth Spirit was the only one that really posed much challenge, as opposed to other members of it's team being the problem. I ended up chosing it so I wouldn't have to deal with repeating the fight and hoping that, at level 25, it will make stomping the other spirits that much easier.
Stun stun stun stun stun.
Cockroach seemed to do best against him from what I had.
Chose water first, but got Earth after the first daily.
