The Silkbead Snail is a fantastic addition to your pet battle dailies teams. In particular when facing the Pandaren Earth Spirit. Like the Rapana Whelk, the snail functions as a formidible tank that can also greatly damage the Earth spirit and other Pandaran Spirits.
The damage output of this pet isn't terribly high, but the fact that it can reduce damage, heal, and has immunities to snares and stuns is a huge advantage.
I found lots of them as primary pets on the beach at Wreck of the vanguard the southest point in jade forest. Coord 48.93.
Good luck and happy hunting :-)
Confirmed again, S/e of Paw'don village. Caught a rare during rainy weather, although I am unsure of the importance rain makes.
I can confirm that I just caught a level 23 rare just under the water at Garrosh'ar Point (46,94) Just s/e of Paw'don Village.
I had alot of trouble finding these then I found a ton at wreck of the vanguard, 51, 91. I also noticed they show up as seconds mainly along the river and with the jumping spiders.
Thinking of replacing my Rapana Whelk for one of these because I have been unable to get a 5/15 breed rare Whelk - I am stuck with a 12/22 breed. And according to this website this here snail comes in 9/19, which is better than 12/22.
Just confirming capture of a rare.
Appeared in second (rare) and third position (poor) to a Jumping Spider just SE of Paw'Don Village.
Silkbead Snail can come in three colours like the Shimmershell Snail. I've seen the lime green and the orange, aside from the grey pictured, and currently, the colour-changer I have cycles through all of them.
Silkbead Snail- lvl 21 (u/c)
2nd Position of Emerald Turtle
Time: 2:19am server time 11/2/2012 (non-seasonal, non-holiday)
weather: raining (though it showed once in clear weather)
location: 57,53 w/in the grounds of Temple of the Jade Serpent
having seen one earlier as a backup position, I didn't realize this guy would be so difficult to find again. Tried all over and was en route to Arboretum where suggested 2nd with hatchlings but I had no luck w/ this
This pet doesnt seem to show up on the warcraft community site under my profile. Good pet though! Shield and a heal attack + Ram!
