This pet was an event-exclusive pet during the pre-Legion patch, Patch 7.0 Demon Invasion World Event.

Players earned Nethershards by completing open world scenarios in various locations across Azeroth. There were a total of 6 demon invasion points.

Lousy set of moves for a slow flyer. Dependent on others to set up to be most effective. Don't ever find myself putting him in my lineup.

I'm back to wow after a break and missed out on the legion pre-patch stuff, just catching up with Tanaan pets before launching on Legion!  Does anyone know if this pet is still obtainable ingame or if I'm going to have to watch the auction house?

As of patch 7.1, it appears to follow you in flight now! I'm so excited, as I stopped having it out because it irked me that it didn't fly with me!

Since this is a limited time pet and traidable, I would strongly recomend getting a few of these, keeping them, and waiting a few months. Will become either a great gift for a new player or friend, or something really valuable as you wont see them on the AH much anymore in the future.

Only takes 3 invasions (50 Nethershards each) to get one of these! There is a vendor near the invasion points called Captive Wyrmtongue that sells it. He's in a green bubble so pretty easy to find in the Illidari camp.

When doing the invasions the shards drop from the big skull bosses. Stay with a group and fly to each to help battle it down. There are several stages and a final boss to beat. The recharge time on invasions is about 2.5 hours.

Paralyzing Venom is a free hit as long as you are faster. You can use that to your advantage at the start of a fight. Say a pet has high damage vs flying but weak vs aquatic. Use PV and swap to the resistant pet.
