Do you know if/when the hotfix went live? I got it late late last night (well after your post about the hotfix) and was unable to cage it.

Must have been before this month's DF went up. I did it Sunday morning and it wasn't cageable then.

I *want* to say I'll never do this again but there's going to be 2 more mount options released the next 2 months, and I want as many of the achieves as possible, so...

Most of the rewards is fairly forgettable, but the Darkmoon Cannon from golding the real big race with the powermonger is worth trying for. It assembles a rocket, giving unstoppable flight for 1 min, 30 min cd.

True, but as a pet/mount/toy/tabard/transmog/everything collector, they're pretty much forcing me to torture myself to fill in my collection.

I got it beat in 17 clicks (or whatever those are called)

My tip is to not let it intimidate you, at first I was all nervous because I really wanted the new pet and I stressed over it, but finally I settled in and played the course and let myself make mistakes and discover what works and what doesn't all while the timer ran. After I saw where the shortcuts were and what powerups to use I was able to beat it easily and realize it's much easier than it looks.

And I also got shot and slowed down by one of those zeps and triggerd a slow trap, I probably could have beat it in 15 clicks if I didn't do that.

I've done the race a few times (too many actually). Each Toll is about 7 seconds and it ticks over to the start of the next Toll at each Post. Arriving at a Post a millisecond after a Toll ticks over is like getting penalized 1 Toll.

The Rotating Powerups that changes between rocket, spring and teleporter have 12 seconds cycles. Using a timer lets you know when to start the race so that when you arrive at a Rotating Powerup, it will have the correct Powerup.

Edit: Finally got it after several bad timing starts... first finished race was 22 tolls, 2nd race was 18! If I can do it anyone can, keep trying!

One more vote for watching the video first, I never would have figured out how to do it in time myself.

One more vote for feeling annoyed that you have to skip such a huge part of the race in order to finish in time.

One more vote for never ever doing that again... until they add another pet of course.

This event is just not fun. At all.

A bit frustrated right now, will try again a bit later on, and hopefully will manage to get the pet before the Faire goes away for the rest of the month...

*Edit* Came back an hour later, finally did it after about 30 tries. Definitely still not fun - too much luck involved. The only tries where I came close (and the one where I finally did it) were when the powerup outside the rabbit cave was waiting on rocket when I got there. Any waiting, or missing it, and you might as well run back and restart.

Made it more stressful on myself by leaving it until the last day of the faire, but at least I have it now. Good luck to anyone still trying!

omg after about 50 attempts, I watched the video with the tip about setting a timer for the rockets, that made all the difference, got it first try!
