Patch 7.0.3 | Posted: August 2, 2016
Squirky can be found on Seabreak Isle, just off the north-western coast of Azsuna.

There are many high level elites on this island, that have very a fast respawn time. It's recommended to bring a friend or two to help.

Squirky has a plush version, however it's not necessary to own the plushie to collect the pet.

At all times, make sure the patrol up the hill, is out of range.

1. Use the north side of the island by a wrecked boat

2. Pull the murloc to the right of the boat

3. Move to the left of the boat, and pull the murloc there

4. Move into the island, and pull the murloc standing on the platform ahead and to your right. Break LOS with the boat for casters.

5. Walk up and engage a Squirky

6. The murlocs may respawn as you battle, so be ready to cast protection, movement freedom, and haul it out of there

After a couple fights I got an uncommon then left.  The good thing is that when you are fighting the elites, these pets are unkillable, so there is no chance you will accidently kill one if it is too close to the mob your fighting.

My suggestion if you go and don't wanna keep battling the elites waiting for a rare to spawn, I would say do a couple battles to get the best quality you can or until you find the breed you want, but then leave.  You can easily stone it.

Just got mine. Stay on edge of Island and you should have an easy time capturing him.

You will soon learn the path back from the revive point to this isle. Bring a pal who doesn't mind suiciding and wants to trade turns distracting the patrols on the north side. P.S. Use a Stone, having to pull enough of these to get a rare would just be torture.

Got mine this morning.  Even with stealth, it was a challenge.  There were around 10-12 up on the battle pets.  Catching them isn't the issue.

The issue is there are packs of level 110 elite murlocs swarming the area.

He is cute, packs a mean clobber. But I suggest not going after this pet solo unless you can deal with the Murlocs on parade.  I got jumped and killed by 10 of them and usually things have a hard time killing my feral druid.

Blizzard seems to have taken pity on the non-stealthers who want this pet.  Took a friend to the island yesterday and there's no longer just one Squirky in the center, now a bunch of them all around the island.  Much easier to tag one without ever aggroing the elites.

Got a rare the first day Blizzard actually finally told us how to get this little guy!  I'm not sure if it was good timing or just new pet freenzie, but I didn't have to kill a single mob myself and had no problem at all getting into pet battles! Hopefully all of you will have just as good of luck finding your own "Squirky"!

Squirky technique for those of you who are not quite yet level 110 and not really good at swarming scads of zerging murlocs.

First make sure you are fully repaired.  This is going to take a death or so to make work.

You can swim across to the island get to about 20.60 20.80 in the water just outside the island (Murlocs can't reach).  In front of you there is a hill that leads up wards.  Just rush as far up it as you can until you're dead.  Don't go to the top, about 19.5 20.9 is suffice.  Then let the swarms kill you.  Luckily there is a graveyard on the island.

Now run back and get to around 19.70 20.87.  There is one of those murloc stands there and there is a Squirky.  Be pet battle ready and wait for the swarms to turn their backs!  Rez and immediately hit Squirky for a pet battle.  After you nab Squirky and the battle is done you'll be mobbed and die.

Btw tested this and 2nd time got a rare!!!

I went with 2 of my guild mates, after getting our butts kicked for 45 minutes, we deceided to have 2 of us distract the mobs while 1 of us battled squirky!

Although I did finally manage to get myself Squirky I only have one complaint.

DON'T be that A**hat that comes swooping in while someone is hard at work clearing the mobs around the pet so they can battle it safely. I had this happen to me 4 times today! Don't be that guy! We all love battle pets but show some manners...

Dropped in right in front of the main Crablord. Center of the island. Died and revived in just a spot that I was able to battle three squirkies and capture them all without further interference from the elites...so long as I mounted immediately after the fight and targeted the squirkies for battle upon landing / reviving. I use a macro to take action on the targeted battle pets (works for others hidden by trees, such as the Black Widow)

I battled many of them to see if they had any breed besides Balance/Balance, yet they all seem to be B/B only but still it's a murloc so I caught 3 of the Squirkies lol.

P.S. I did notice that things like AOE damage and such won't kill them, so blast away at the elite murlocs ll you need and Squirkies will still be running around lol.

just got mine, the murlocs on the island hit HARD, so stealth or bring friends is good advice. I used my Mech Pandaren Dragonling to capture, he doesn't hit too hard with the breath attack and easily took out the backline gray pets after capture.

Squirky is now live & cageable! Nearest FP is Challiane's Terrace then go due west and slightly south you'll see the small island @ 19/20 Seabreak Isle. Plenty of paw prints and can have 3 max mostly grey or white and balance breed maybe even h/s-they are indeed surrounded for the most part by serious Elite Murloc mobs that hit very hard-Stealth in or fly in then shadowmeld to drop aggro right in front of a battle pet-do your pet battle then get out quickly :)

Cute as heck-Well worth the effort!

You can have 3 total. All seem to be B/B. I got 2 grays and 1 white. Not cageable. Tons of them on the island when I was there. But also tons of adult murlocs that are a huge pain, so use stealth if you can. Most importantly they are so CUTE! :D

Left this same comment on WOWHead so I am not copying someone elses work it is my own.

"Just got mine today off the coast of Aszuna on Seabreek Isle, closest flight point IMO is Challiane's Terrace on the Blizzard Map it shows up but if using Carbonite it is not visible. I found the island with about 10 battle pet Squirky's on them but also crawling with Squigglefin murlocs the inhabitants of the island. The worst mob I encountered was the Crablord who I did not successfully kill. My strat was to kind of sneak in grab my battle pet and run like heck. I took out on single shot one at a time till I had a running head start and waiting for the Crablord patrol to pass the ran in and started the pet battle. The Squirky I battled only had 1144 health so it was hard to get him down low enough to capture, so you might want to bring a low hitting/striking battle pet around level 20 that can take him down about 300 hit points at a time."

the surrounding elites on Seabreak Island can be annoying. Helps a lot if you have a good way to drop combat like Shadowmeld or Feign Death so you can engage him in a pet battle without having to fight a bunch of elite murlocs.

They are now available! There will be tons of them on the Seabreak Isle in Azsuna (19, 20)

All the ones I've seen are B/B (#3), and all the ones I caught during my test turned out male. They seem to have a fast respawn timer. Just make sure to have a friend and bring a geared toon as the elites there hit pretty hard!

During a special time of year, a secretive clan of murlocs often sends young tadpoles out to explore, adventure, and begin their tale.
