Battle For Azeroth
Patch 8.1.0 | Posted: December 11, 2018
This pet is from a new rare mob added in Patch 8.1. It scales to your player level, and can be found south-east of Three Corners in Redridge Mountains.

The tarantulas that inhabit southern Redridge are smaller than their cousins elsewhere in Azeroth, but make up for their size with speed and ferocity.
I think the appearance is the best even over the Venomspitter Hatchling. Comparing stats to other spiders or types with web/leech abilities, I found it weak. It is not as fast as an S/S. It seems to have the weakest power of all the spiders I have. I think it may be a weak H/S breed. I rate it high on appearance and bragging rights but low on actual usability. I suggest a P/P Rare of any type with Sticky Web/Leech Life abilities would actually be much more useful in a pet battle.
On the topic of its first tier abilities, Huge Fang has a 1 rnd cd where Vicious Fang has none. So it is a little less than completly obvious depending on the fight
So the abilities on the first tier are both exactly the same thing being Huge Fang and Vicious Fang both doing high damage to Critters and low damage to Flyers. The only difference is Huge Fang does a bit more damage than Vicious Fang. Making only one clear choice being to pick Huge Fang. Kinda silly if you ask me since most often you have two different moves on one tier that way you are able to choose depending on what you are facing or a different mechanic move-wise.
Did not know of this pet but while doing Horde Quest to find Sourfang you run into it and seeing Silver for rare I killed it and got a nice suprize the pet :-).
EZ CLAP
Got this pet on the first kill. A comment on Wowhead also suggests that this pet may be 100% drop rate. Head over to Redridge Mountains to grab one!
