Dragonkin

I am very new to the pet battles as well as collecting. Can someone give me some suggestions for pets to battle against dragonkin pets?

Flayer Youngling murders Dragons, as well as Anubisath Idol using Crush and Sporeling Sprout with either of his first tier attacks. I like the Youngling/Idol best because of Deflection in case of Lift-Off/Charge.

In addition to what [profile]Genome[/profile] mentioned, [pet]Peddlefeet[/pet] and [pet]Gregarious Grell[/pet] work pretty well too. They're more for PVE than PVP, though. I think the idol and flayer are probably both better options for dragonkin in PVP. I don't PVP so someone correct me if I'm wrong!

[pet]Macabre Marionette[/pet] is the ultimate dragonkin killer. Macabre Maraca deals extra dmg against dragonkin and as an undead they take less dmg from dragonkin attacks. Depending on the dragonkin they might mix in elemental or flying attacks too but most of their primary attacks are still dragonkin.

I like to look at the second chart, pick the type of creature I want to beat and then look at the Don't use against column as that tells me what I need for a double counter pet. For dragonkin that is an undead with human attacks and the [pet]Macabre Marionette[/pet] is the only one that really fits the bill.

I was just jumping in to sing the Marionette's praises. There's also an addon where you can make this kind of comparison in-game: Pet Journal Enhanced. Oddly I find it easier to do on the site. I'm just a weirdo, I guess. The Marionette is really rare in PVP, which can give you an edge, too.
