Feedback and Suggestions

I'm really loving the new Pet Battles system. So much so that I'm still haven't got to 90, and now have over 350 companions!

Some suggestions I have for improving the system in the future.

1. Make the pet items from the reward bags account bound. (As the pets are all shared, and it should not matter which character you use, it seems strange that the items associated with this are tied to a specific character. This actively discourages you from using any character).

2. Remove the requirement to play the opposite faction to complete the Kalimdor/Eastern Kingdoms trainer achievements. (maybe this is just a bug currently)

3. Add fun, pet items to crafting. (possible conflict with the reward bags, but the ability to make bandages, and maybe temporary buffs, see below).

4. A way to improve unique uncommon pets to rare pets so they are viable for combat (uncommon pets suffer when battling against rare pets, yet many favourite models are quest rewards or other drops that are only available as uncommon. A suggestion I saw elsewhere was a monthly mechanism at the Darkmoon Faire to upgrade 1 pet).

5. Allow players to rename their pets out of game (from the armory for example) - with so many we need more time/ways of doing this.

6. Improve the default Pet journal/Battle interface. (there are some great addons, but they highlight how many basic features are needed. Top of my list are sorting and categorising, rarity display {in battles} and saved teams of pets).

7. Would love a pet battle mobile client.

8. API extension to enable tracking of weather and seasons would be nice to have.

9. As a reward for specific achievements - allow you to summon more than one pet while not in a battle.. So that you can have 2 and then finally all 3 summoned.

Examples of possible player crafted items

[First Aid] Emergency pet bandage - restores 20% of pet health, usable in combat, once per combat only (not pvp battles)
[First Aid] Field pet bandage - revives and heals 1 pet fully (not usable in combat)

[Alchemy] Potion of the little game hunter - increases your chance of finding better quality pets (lasts 30 minutes)
[Alchemy] On Safari potion- reduces cool down of Pet Heal by 2 minutes (lasts 30 minutes)

[Tailoring] Zookeeper's sack - holds all pet items (including caged / unlearned pets)

[Blacksmithing] Reinforced cage - reduces damage taken when casting cage by 10% (lasts 30 minutes)
[Blacksmithing] Spiked collar - pets do 3% more damage (lasts 10 minutes)

[Engineering] Mechanical trap - increases capture chance by 5% (lasts 30 minutes)
[Engineering] Collapsable podium - summons a small, winners podium which your current team mounts, and then emotes from (last 3 minutes, 8 hour cool down)

[Inscription] Writ of challenge - allows you to challenge a trainer (once per day, in addition to normal daily)
[Inscription] Spilt ink - pet leaves dirty footprints after it as it follows you (lasts 30 minutes)

[Jewel crafting] Gemmed collar -

[Enchanting] Twisting Nether challenge shard - initiating a battle transports you to a random location for the duration of the battle (ie. random background for your battle, each battle uses 1 charge)
[Enchanting] Windfury scroll - pets gain 3% speed (lasts 10 minutes)

[Leatherworking] Barding - pets take 3% less damage (lasts 10 minutes)
[Leatherworking] Lucky animal foot - increases your Luck in battles (lasts 10 minutes)

Differing levels of the above could apply to different zones/expansions.
Cage / Trap Buffs do not stack. Buffs to speed, damage, toughness, and luck do not stack.
