Obalis Pet Bug?

Pets of Obalis, particularly Spring and Clatter would still hit if they die in the middle of their mult-hit attacks like Slicing Wind and Flank. I have copied my pet battle logs and posted it below.

Molten Hatchling Vs Spring

Molten Hatchling casts Brittle Webbing.
Spring casts Slicing Wind.
Brittle Webbing dealt damage to enemy Spring.
Enemy Spring died.
Slicing Wind dealt damage to your Molten Hatchling.
Slicing Wind dealt damage to your Molten Hatchling.

Spring hits twice more after its death.

Molten Hatchling Vs Clatter

Molten Hatchling casts Brittle Webbing.
Flank dealt damage to your Molten Hatchling.
Brittle Webbing dealt damage to enemy Clatter.
Enemy Clatter died.
Flank dealt damage to your Molten Hatchling.
Molten Hatchling died.

Something like that may be good to report to blizz. Make sure to screen shot it next time.

It's not a bug.

Brittle Webbing deals damage as the enemy attacks.
For all intents and purposes, the enemy dies while attacking.
So their attacks still land, even though they died while making them.

The pet log doesn't have a good way to show "simultaneous" moves, so it shows them as subsequent.

I could understand that, but the second slicing wind after it dies shouldn't hit I wouldn't think. If you kill a pet with a 3 hit attack after 1 hit, you don't keep hitting

It's all considered part of the same attack. It attacks with Slicing Wind, which does three hits in the same turn.
The attack kills it due to Brittle Webbing, but all three attacks land because it's simultaneous.
The log can't display simultaneous attacks, so shows the attacking pet as dead after the first hit lands, even though all three hits land as part of the same attack.

The only way this is a bug is if the pet dies and then keeps attacking.
As in the corpse comes running across the screen and continues attacking.

But what I'm betting happened is that the pet attacked, did three hits, then expired.
The log just shows it the way it does because the log can't show the attacks as simultaneous.

I'd love it if my pterradox hatchling would just run across the screen after its dead in a pvp battle. Doesn't even have to hit, just scare the crap out of my opponent. I would literally laugh out loud.

I've twice seen a similar bug against Courageous Yon. Both times Lapin died mid flurry from damage inflicted by my Untamed Hatchling's Spiked Shield. He literally fell over on to his side dead, then continued whirling around sideways as the remaining attacks occurred. I posted a report of it the blizzard bug forum /shrug

I've had this happen opposite where my pterrodax hatchling died and continued to attack. Idont mind this if it's going both ways.
