Fabled Panderean Boss Pet Thread (Image Heavy!)

Looks like the new "boss" pets are on the PTR! Thought I'd make a thread showing what I've found so far. If you have anything to add, please do!

As shown in the pictures, the fabled pets have yellow paw prints above their heads instead of green, so they're pretty easy to spot.


You can currently fight them without being on the quest (though this may change). They seem to have normal pet moves, but are much stronger. Pets don't copy to the PTR at the moment so I couldn't properly test the battles.

Mumper said they're going to be rare. We don't know how rare though!

I have to wonder about this. If this becomes a daily, the natural assumption is that it can be completed each day. I can't imagine the elite pets will be extremely hard to find if they're part of a quest we should be able to complete on a daily basis.

But idk. We'll have to wait and see.

If I had to take a guess I'd say that maybe the daily will be similar to the August Celestial dailies. You go to some central NPC and they send you off to fight whichever pet is up that day.

There's also Lucky Yi the red cricket in VotFW (too few posts to put a pic up, sorry!)

He's level 24, critter type, 3967 health, moves are Quick Attack, Perk Up, and Uncanny Luck.

Kafi, upon defeat, yielded 273 exp to a level 22, paired with 2 25's. He also respawned instantly.

I wish they would fix the issues on PTR. I cant even learn a pet and use it. No pet battling for me.

I had that issue too, along with getting stuck casting and freezing completely (besides walking around). Reinstall your PTR client, it worked wonders.

Don't 4K health scores upset normal pet battle mechanics?

Abilities that cause a % of your health as damage (like Predatory Strike, Impale, Trample...) would be OP, and if the elite pet had an ability that healed a % of health (like Buried Treasure or Wish) they'd be impossible to kill.

Also, can someone report on their speed and power? For a much higher than normal power score healing abilities also sound very hard to deal with.

I got the cricket down with just a magical crawdad, and the goat was easy with a clockwork gnome and a darkmoon zep. I will say that the % thing works both ways, though. The zep's explode did a crapload of damage.

Speaking of % based attacks, it would seem I might need to train my brilliant kallari for the health % based insta-kill.

I'm just curious on the spawn times and such as I have the WORSE luck with timing. These are just for an accomplishment for a pet or can you capture them to?

Yea are you able to catch these things? Could you imagine a team of 3 of these? Oh god the horror!!!! lol

Edit: And if we are able to tame these do they keep their "legendary" level stats or are they reduced to say a rare or epic level quality? Would be cool to see "Epic" quality pets brought into pet battles! lol

So if we can't be killed while battling these guys, are these guys going to be immune to attacks as well? Our attacks not pet attacks. Just trying to think of all the ways we could be griefed.
