Re: Graves observations
Again, you're missing the point. I'm pretty good at pet battling. I have no problem with forming counters. My point is that top end items, whether pets or gear, should not be the reward for playing another game. If they want to give away a reward pet then it should be a cool looking pet with a very ...

Re: Graves observations
The problem with murkalot has never been his moveset. The problem is the moves themselves. RI should give either the speed buff OR the damage buff. Not both. Falling Murloc has the same damage as ion cannon, except that the stun only lasts one round, and Murk can be swapped out, while Chrominius, To...

Re: Graves observations
So if everyone has this super OP pet it makes it OK? Kinda like it was ok when we were all running valk/dah teams? The fact that this one pet makes an entire class of pets (humanoids) nearly useless is not cool. The fact that this one pet means that you almost have to use aquatics to even have a cha...

Re: Graves observations
Ok, let me try to explain this another way... Suppose that instead of a pet, they said that if you reach level 20 then all of your WoW toons get a legendary 715 weapon suitable to class. Suddenly everyone is running around with legendary weapons, and the content gets stale quickly. That is the same ...

Re: Graves observations
The appropriate thing would be to tone Graves down so that it's actually (closer to) balanced. Exclusivity shouldn't be a factor. Exactly!! My problem isn't the exclusivity of the pet. Its the fact that it is a reward from another game that is so powerful that it changes how THIS game is played. I ...

Re: Graves observations
OK, allow me to clarify my comment. I play WoW. I raid two nights per week. I do my dailies to keep my toons up to date. I do the upkeep on my garrisons. And between all that, I try to keep my pet collection up to date. I also used to pvp, but with all the other game stuff taking up my time, I had t...

Re: Graves observations
And best of all, Blizzard has once again created an extremely OP pet that isn't available to everyone. I personally have no problem with rewarding people for playing other Blizz games. Nor do I mind paying a few bucks for store pets, but pet rewards for events or games outside of WoW should simply b...

Re: Graves observations
I've faced this guy in PvP quite a few times today with several different teams. Made a point of having at least one Humanoid on my team just to do some testing when facing Graves. It really didn't go well. Ore Eater and Anubis (two of the stronger humanoids, and both with significant damage mitigat...

Re: one thing I absolutely cannot stand
They should do like Hearthstone: If time runs out, subsequent turns get shorter and shorter.. I'm 4997 wins from my 5K win pet :( The teams I'm seeing are not letting the timer expire. They are simply waiting until it is ALMOST expired, and then selecting their action. That way the the turn timer n...

one thing I absolutely cannot stand
There is one thing about pet battles that just drives me insane, and it is becoming more and more common. People who realize they are beaten, and then start waiting for the turn timer to nearly expire before choosing an action. I've run into several teams doing this in the past few months, and it is...

PS: Skavenged is there a reaon you didnt post your team yet? LOL! Honestly, I didnt put it out here because I don't want to end up facing it myself :) However, since other people are sharing, I'll share one of my other go-to teams: S/S Fiendish Imp (Burn, Immolate, Nether Gate) Ghastly Kid Kovok I ...

Re: what you think is the best pet type vs others
If you're asking about best vs. flying, my money is on the Nexus Whelpling. Mana Surge in Arcane Winds is just carnage against fliers. Absolutely! Nexus Whelpling is far and away the best bird killer in the game. Another nice benefit to this little guy is that he pumps out massive damage against al...

Re: Finally got my Stunted Direhorn.
LOL!! "BS teams and Cheap strategies". This honestly gave me a chuckle. There is actually more parity in PvP now than there has ever been. The whole point is to build a synergetic team that works well together. Just imagine if you had tried back when FotM teams were everywhere. The whole point to Pv...

Actually, I team her up a pet running Black Claw, which makes her a hard hitter even when used against aquaticsDrudatz wrote:Its should be added that shes NOT a power house as claimed in the articel if she goes up against an aquatic.

Well there's your problem right there... You're hoard! Everyone knows Alliance is better at pet battles! Duh!Abbotta wrote: That's why I did that PvP. I was in Two Moons turning in my Fable Dailies (needed pet treats).

Re: ever find that one team...?
The true beauty of the MPD is that it can serve as both an opener AND a sweeper. 309 speed is faster than most pets, so the MPD can often drop a decoy, followed by Thunderbolt for 600ish aoe damage, and then move into the back line unharmed. Its when he comes out at the end, that the problem arises....

Re: ever find that one team...?
MPD has tons of counters. IMHO the only OP pet in the game is still Murkalot! I don't think his move-set needs to be mimicked, it needs to be fixed. Falling Murloc does nearly the same damage as Ion Cannon, and yet Murk is only stunned one round while cannon users are stunned for two. To add insult ...

Re: ever find that one team...?
I have another guy that I face regularly. He tried for awhile to counter me, but apparently he gave up. Whenever I face him now, he just drags the fight out by waiting until the last second on turn-timer every single round

Re: ever find that one team...?
I built one earlier this month and hit 500 wins with it last night. 96% win rate. Most of my losses have come against the same guy (can tell because of pet names). I've gotta give him props. He was banging his head against the wall for a loooong time, but he never fled. He'd just make a change and c...
