Re: The future and direction of pet battling in WOW
I've been doing pet battles since the beginning. I was never a big collector before then, so obviously I had plenty to do just to get a decent collection together. Once the collection was ready, I moved on into leveling all of them. Again, it kept me busy for a loooong time. After I had enough pets ...

what's your favorite opponent?
We all have that one team that we really enjoy running, and there's always that one team that we see from time to time that just makes us smile, because we know its in the bag from the beginning. Mine is when my black claw teams faces a lightning team. I don't remember a single time that this team l...

Re: Sunflowers and Crawdad
I've found that kovok is an excellent counter to most heal teams. Thanks to his own heals, he can usually outheal their DPS, and black claw plus poison outdps's their heals. Even better, kovok is a pretty versatile pet and can be used with lots of different teams, so you don't have to build a direct...

Re: Sunflowers and Crawdad
Whenever I see these types of teams, I always assume one of two things: either this person is going for the achieve for consecutive PvP wins, OR this person isn't very good at pet battles and is looking for easy wins via forfeit.

Re: Where Do You Stand?
Unless I'm in the garrison, I also rotate so that my team is on the left and the opponent is on the right. In the garrison, I angle it directly behind my toon, looking just over his head

Re: Sunflowers and Crawdad
I use three Nexus Whelpling, one P/S and the other two P/B Use Arcane Storm and Mana Surge away, if Sunflower changes the weather swap the next one in and your good to go, Tail Swipe also hits very hard. I have owned many of the duel sunflower-Crawdad teams i i love the whelplings. Unless someone e...

Re: Just did my first Celestials
Yeah, against Xu-Fu, Howl bomb is just too random for me. That's why I wanted an alternate plan. On a side note, the raptors have tons of uses. Especially in BOF fights in Jade forest. I also use the Toe Nibbler in PvP. 341 speed makes it faster than most opponent pets, and Black Claw plus Flank mea...

That explains it. Haven't run Chi-Chi in ages, and never used Ethereal when I did, so didn't realize it was an always first move. Thanks guys

Question?
Ran into an opponent 4 times today. He had a Ghastly Kid, Qiradji Guardling, and Chi-Chi. All four times, the fights came down to his low health Chi-Chi (below 200) facing my nearly full health Nexus Whelpling. Both pets have speed of 273. No other buffs or debuffs are active (flying racial wasn't a...

Re: PVP Teams
I can tell you an old swap team that always did well for me. Not sure that it would work now, due to changes for Valks though Blue Clockwork Rocket bot SS Fiendish Imp Unborn Valkyr You start by dropping minefield. Switch to Valk, and haunt. Next comes the imp. Swap the opponent pet. Immolate. Switc...

Re: Just did my first Celestials
Lil Bling can sometimes solo xu-fu. If he doesnt, all you need is a second mech to mop up. I generally use the tonk for its cannon For an even more foolproof method, you can start with one of the SS zandalari raptors. You should be able to use black claw followed by hunting party before dying. When ...

Re: PVP Teams
This is a good idea, but most people don't like sharing their teams. There's nothing like coming up with a great team, sharing it here, and within a few days, everyone else is running your own comp against you. The absolute best way to find creative new teams is to watch what others are running agai...

Re: PTR menagerie experience nerfed
Exactly, Peanutty. I do one fight per day in the menagerie for the bag. Leveling pets there just isn't for me. For leveling, I fly pandaria as well.

Re: PTR menagerie experience nerfed
I disagree. Blizzards job is to keep us, as players, paying to play. Their goal is to give us enough content to keep us busy until the next patch. If they design content to last for months, and players find a way to complete it in days, that is bad for business. Heirlooms and the lvl 90 upgrades are...

Re: PTR menagerie experience nerfed
Honestly, I'm glad they're going to nerf the menagerie. I'm probably in the minority here, and this may seem a little selfish, but I don't like the idea of being able to level forty or fifty pets in a day. I spent months flying around pandaria, doing bag dailies, hitting old world tamers, and power ...

Re: PTR menagerie experience nerfed
I don't see how you guys have that kind of time for pet leveling. Between my raid team twice per week, daily dungeon, three LFRs, garrison harvesting, gathering mats for garrison buildings, daily apexis run, one menagerie daily, daily fishing quest, weekly invasion, and helping guildies do garrison ...

Re: just a tip for new pet battlers
Love my Toenibbler, but for newer players, they can be more difficult to get without buying them on the AH. Cats can be tamed or bought cheap, even at low levels

just a tip for new pet battlers
Here lately, I've seen more and more people getting involved in Pet battles. A few of them, whether friends or guildies, have asked which pet they should level up first. Most of the posts I've seen here talk about this useful pet, or that useful pet, or this family or that. In my opinion, the absolu...
