Re: MGTTDPB 5.2: My guide to tamer daily pet battles for 5.2
I just used the first Ooze I had - Disgusting Oozling. Hows how the fight goes, lets say he opens with Fangor: Round 1: Acidic Goo / Hiss Round 2: Pass / Burrow Round 3: Corrosion / Burrow Round 4: Absorb / Vicious Round 5: Absorb / Vicious {Snake dead: Ooze at 400/800 HP depending on Burrow hit} R...

Re: Replacement Pets For 5.2 Patch
I was informed that the forfeiting penalty of -10 % to hp won't apply to forfeiting trainer battles. This is a welcome change, but I still want to have teams not dependant on a certain starting pet. Even so, you should be fine using a setup vs a certain pet (the trainers usually starts with a certai...

Re: MGTTDPB 5.2: My guide to tamer daily pet battles for 5.2
Thanks for your suggestions, particularly concerning Payne. I will wait until 5.2 for the stat-nerf to his pets. That should be interesting. I see you're using a Yellow Moth. Will any moth work here, or was the Yellow chosen specifically? Yellow moth breed 4 was chosen because it has coccoon strike+...

Re: MGTTDPB 5.2: My guide to trainer daily pet battles for 5
Concerning the team forfeit penalty: Great that it won't Apple to dailies! I wasn't aware of that :). Vs Payne, I tried fast pets with stuns as that is a great way to control the fight and not having to switch out pets initially. I didn't manage to make it work well vs Payne though. Fast pets in gen...

MGTTDPB 5.2: My guide to tamer daily pet battles for 5.2
1. MGTTDPB 5.2: MY GUIDE TO TAMER DAILY PET BATTLES FOR 5.2 [/b] I thought to share my team setups for the tamer dailies. 1.1 A few introductory notes: [/u] -Pre 5.2, Fluxfire Feline was a quick and easy way to defeat trainers. With the nerf in 5.2, Fluxfire Feline isn’t going to be a short way to ...

Re: Replacement Pets For 5.2 Patch
Heh, tbh I really do not want to go through the trouble of a complete writeup, considering there are a couple of already great examples you can find here. For your example with whispering, I start with Chrominus. I use Bite/Blessing/Ravage. Forcing the moth first, I can usually get close to killing...

Re: 5.2 Fluxfire -- a new AoE team?
Unfortunately, Anubisath Idol is everywhere and will only be stronger in 5.2, so he represents a major obstacle for this team (and AoE strategies in general). Nonetheless, I think this has some real potential to be a fun comp to play with. What do you mean when you say that Anubisath Idol will be s...

Re: Replacement Pets For 5.2 Patch
I think, for me, that the Darkmoon Zepplin and Chrominius are amazing for most of the masters. A moth works wonders as well on a few of them. Interesting information. Could you please elaborate on this? Which tamers and which abilities / which pet goes first etc? Are you dependent on a certain tame...

Re: Pet abilities: Overview of % to hit
Tested mr. wiggles with anodized robo cub yesterday. Sure, it hit for a TON of damage, and oneshots beasts. But still, even if you get one supercharged demolish and one normal demolish in before the buff wears off, it doesn't seem very viable. It's not optimal to switch back to wiggles to renew the ...

Hello, Mr. wiggles (lucky dance) + robo cub (supercharge + demolish)!

Pet abilities: Overview of % to hit
When it comes to % chance to hit with abilities, a lot of this is known. However, I wished to get a complete list over all the hit chances of all abilities. I found this in mmo-champion's database, and it seems correct as far as I can see. All the abilities not listed has 100 % hit chance or is not ...

Re: CONTEST: Pet Tips for Mini Tyrael!
With the new dmg penalty from forfeiting battles to force the trainer to give you the needed first pet, and the nerf to fluxfire feline , I have been at work trying to find a team for every highlevel trainer where you can have 2 lvl 25 pets and 1 lowlvl pet for leveling, and where you can take down ...

Re: Reflect = O M G
Not much point in reflecting the pump: it's a wasted round. The 10% increased dmg buff that your pet gains when reflecting the first Pump seems to apply to your pets attacks. I'm not 100% sure about this, though, as I was only able to test it a few times. Not sure if that means it's worth reflectin...

Re: Leveling Pets (except Tamers)
Haven't really bothered about leveling that much through wild pet battles, but last I did it to get the last few xp on my lvl 24's, here is what I did: Kun-lai summit (lots of critters and beasts, especially if you find a tolai hare / hare pup family toiling around). Used these pets: - Flayer youngl...

Re: Most Underrated pets.
Hare/rabbits which I have aquired after going through all types and breeds: -[pet][breedID/breedID]: [health/power/speed] -Tolai hare pup [12/22]: 1546/240/305 (h/p/s) -> nice vs the thundering spirit tamer (thanks to warpets|info). There are several hares/rabbits with identical attributes, but I ch...

Re: Fluxfire Power
Reflect doesn't reflect the damage, just steals the Wind-up buff EDIT: Worth pointing out that you don't take the damage, the attack misses you, you steal the wind-up buff, and the FFF keeps the wind-up and supercharge buffs. And next round it's wtfpwn! If you are to use reflection, it's better to ...

Re: Trouble deciding what Breed ID's to get for these pets
Flayer Youngling will depend on how you want to use him. For chewing up critters, P/P is the way to go. If you want to utilize interrupt and reflect, people tend to prefer S/S. From what I've seen, a lot of people tend to keep one of each. I never really see why it's so much better with breed 5 for...

Re: Reflect = O M G
Just to clarify, I believe you'd need to reflect a second Pump (incoming damage) for your pet's "pump" to trigger and deal damage. I haven't been able to test this myself, but in theory it would go: - Opponent casts Pump (1) - Opponent casts Pump (2) - You reflect Pump (2), gain a Pump buff - Oppon...

Re: Major Payne for Leveling
There are lots of combinations which can take down the trainers. Some trainers are harder than others, so one tends to be safe by choosing healing/defensive pets with lesser offensive capabilities. The continuous search for me is to find out which combination for each tamer is the fastest, and at th...
