Re: Snakes on a battle.
As a note on the Death Adder Hatchling, you want to look for a 300+ speed breed to make good use of blinding poison. P/S or S/S are fairly common ones. This is one of my favorite pets. I use it to help two man Taran Zhu so I can get some carry pet experience.

Perhaps it has something to do with particular realms. Then a merger might introduce it to another? Just tossing it out there given the odd coincidence.Haevlyn wrote:my realm hasnt been merged and i got this on saturday for the first timeJerebear wrote:have had trouble at Obalis.

Re: Trouble Hearthing After Pet Tamer Battles?
Oddly, this never happened to me until after my realm underwent a merger with another realm. Now it happens everytime. Not sure if it was related 100%, but I follow a very specific tamer sequence and ever since the merger, I have had trouble at Obalis.

Re: Little Tommy Newcomer
I've mostly settled on: Darkmoon Tonk (Ion Cannon) Water Spirit (geyser, whirlpool) stunted shardhorn (b/b) (survival, stampede) I like this team cause it knocks out most RNG issues. 1. Tonk - Ion Cannon 2. Spirit - Geyser 3. Spirit - Whirlpool (spirit usually dies) 4. Shard - Survival (or if spirit...

Re: Tiggindy's advice for pet leveling
For the fire spirit tamer I use the Idol (Sandstorm is golden for me), Eternal Strider (to take the elemental), carrier pet. If Sandstorm is up, Swarm is blocked (goes for all abilities of the same type - Flock etc) and you can swap in carrier pet without it getting damage (it can be level 1)... On...

Re: List 10pets to level for the Celestial Tourney--I'm dyin
Darkmoon Zeppelin is strong against Xu-Fu I have found. Him or Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, as they both have Decoy. If you time it right you can block a Feed which makes him easier to kill. To add to this, if you start with the Mech. Pand. Dragonling, cast Bombing run on the first round, then b...

Re: Tiggindy's advice for pet leveling
I actually like Hopling + Rabbit (faster than mech and elemental). The hopling really does well against the bear. The bear's only damage attack has a cooldown, so if you lead off with the poison dot and only use backflip the round after he does his first damage to you, then all he can do is either s...

Re: The Murkapult
Righteous Inspiration itself isn't too horrible, but I wish it was a damage debuff on the enemy rather than a buff on the player (they could still get the speed as a buff). I had my wife try Brisela's suggested counter (I didn't have two levelled up blighthawks), but I must be missing something as ...

Re: The Murkapult
I think I am still trying to understand the mechanics of righteous inspiration. When cast, if the user is slower than Murkapult but faster than the swapped in toon, will they hit the swapped in toon or do they get a free swap? My initial impressions: I'm not a huge fan of the AoE shield lasting 8 ro...

You can only defeat him once per day. Once he dies, you aren't allowed to abandon the quest either.Mirres wrote:I plan to have a friend fly an alt to the thundering spirit tamer, and fight him repeatedly to level up pets and an alt at the same time.

I kept getting killed trying it with Chrominius, he couldn't quit kill Zao before the heal went off. I switched to a S/S Alpine Foxling and win all the time now. [pet]Pandaren Water Spirit[/pet] cast Geyser, then Whirlpool, then swap to [pet]Chrominius[/pet] cast Howl, then Bite, then Surge of Powe...

Re: Thoughts on the new 5.4 pets
The Macabre Marionette (2,1,1) absolutely destroys the first two pets on Shademaster Kiryn: Round 1: Death and Decay Round 2: Dead Man's Party Round 3: Dead Man's Party Round 4: Dead Man's Party Round 5: Bone Bite (Nairn heals) Round 6: Bone Bite (Nairn dies) Round 7: Dead Man's Party (Storoem casts...

Re: Tiggindy's advice for pet leveling
I seem to get between 185 and 200 on the first hunting party hits (without crits) and 290 and 300 on the second batch. His heal can vary a bit, but he is normally left with a bit above 1200 health before my second wave, meaning I have to average more than 400 per hit to kill him. Those values would...

Whispering is the air elemental. There is no fish, just moth, dragonkin, and air spirit. You are thinking about the flowing elemental, which is the water spirit.

Re: Celestial Tournament 101 [US and EU tips]
For Taran Zhu I tried out an interesting strategy that was pretty solid: Chi Chi (alpha strike, wild magic, and feign) Infected Squirrel (Just need creeping fungus and stampede) Stitched Pup (Diseased Bite, Howl, and Consume Open with chi-chi and: 1. Wild Magic 2. Feign (avoids the stun as well) 3. ...

Re: Unborn val'kry haunt
From a general design perspective, I don't think it is a good idea long term to balance an ability based on a single pet's moveset, even if it is currently the only pet with that ability (I understand other pets have this issue, but same applies to them). If the pet is completely neutered without on...

Re: Collected Celestial Tournament Undercard Strategy
I have great success on Taran Zhu using a [S/S] Death Adder Hatchling and a Stitched Pup + Carry pet. I was using this team to level some of my 20+ pets since you still get 1200-1600 exp with the safari hat and the tourny is resettable. Next time he is up, I'll try and iron out an actual list of att...

Re: Unborn val'kry haunt
I would disagree. I don't see a 3 or 4 round killing the ability. It would keep people from spamming it at the beginning of a match and make them think a bit, especially against pets that can avoid it, but it would still be better than a lot of other abilities that do less damage with longer cooldow...

Re: Unborn val'kry haunt
That's not too bad then. Sear Magic only has a two round cooldown. It'll take two rounds to swap the valk back in and use haunt, so that can mitigate the damage quite a bit as well as frustrate some non seasoned pvp'ers. Maybe not a great long term strategy, but perhaps a team could be thought up to...

Re: Unborn val'kry haunt
What does an ability that removes debuffs/buffs do if you are under haunt? Is it a viable counter or just a waste?
