Re: Celestial Tournament 101 [US and EU tips]
I actually did really well against them leading off with a [S/S] Death Adder Hatchling. His blinding poison was able to negate the stun and a lot of the damage, and the regular poison attack helps do some more damage after the first guy feigns. I can usually kill or near kill the first two monks wit...

Re: 5.4 Guide to Master Tamer (levelling) + Beasts of Fable
For a tradeoff, you can get rid of one part of the RNG of infinite whelp vs honky tonk. I've been testing out switching healing flame for weakness with good results: Tail Sweep Tail Sweep (dragon racial goes up) Weakness (makes you faster than the magic pet and resets the dragon racial) Tail Sweep (...

Re: Jeremy Feasel (Darkmoon Pet Battle)
One thing I do slightly different on the Infinite Whelpling than describe above is I use weakness instead of healing flame. Magic Pet: Tail Swipe > Tail Swipe > Weakness (to absorb the dragon racial), Tail Swipe (triggers racial and health is lower than tonk) Tonk: Early Advantage > Tail Swipe till ...

Re: Celestial Tournament 101-Week 3-sept.24 [US and EU tips]
On Wise Mari, I was able to blast through the first pet and almost kill the second with a Gilnean Raven [S/S] using Alpha Strike, Call Darkness, and Nocturnal strike (so a S/S crow would work too). I used a Cog Blade raptor after at which worked (despite needing to finish off the elemental). I never...

Re: Shademaster Kiryn
I beat her very repeatably with: Death Adder [S/S] 1,1,2 Fel Flame [H/P] 1,1,1 Lil Bling[*] 1,2,1 It's not a fast strat, but the key is the Death Adder neuters most of the first pet and then uses lightning storm against the mech. Poison Fang -> Blinding Poison -> Puncture Wound -> Poison Fang Rotati...

Re: Guide to tamer daily pet battles (5.3) - For veterans
If there are two pets getting XP then each will get *half* as much XP as if they had been the only pet getting XP. So, over the course of two days against the same boss, you would get pets A and B to the same place whether you leveled just A and then just B or leveled A and B together twice. For pr...

Re: Celestial Tournament 101-US (some EU commentary too)
I've been kinda prioritizing the teams for the celestials and that has worked for me. Zao ------ I actually use the BoF nuke team on this guy, though I have my undead pet do some damage before laying on CoD. You don't even need the valk for this as long as you CoD on the undead turn. Geyser+Whirlpoo...

Re: WASTEWALKER SHU
Ran this team quite a few times (cancelling battle right before I won) and found it was pretty solid. There's still a chance of RNG getting you (Crit from sandstorm for example), but out of 10 tries, it only got hairy once. Team: Death Adder [S/S or any breed with more than 280 speed] => 2, 1, 2 Car...

Re: Guide to tamer daily pet battles (5.3) - For veterans
I think he was saying:
Cast explode <--> casts stone skin
swap carry pet/swap bunny <--> burrows
cast dodge <--> burrow fails
you shouldn't need to do your carry pet ability. Just swap in and swap out in the one round.

Re: Guide to tamer daily pet battles (5.3) - For veterans
I know the spirit of this involves quickly killing the tamers, but if I can do two carry pets, even at the expense of longer battles, I find it a good tradeoff. That said, I usually do two carry pets on both Aki and Yon. Aki is slightly RNG, but I rarely have issues...it's just a bit long. Yon is ve...

Re: Celestial Tournament 101-US (some EU commentary too)
For Chi Chi I didn't plan ahead or look at anyone's guide, so I had to pull from leftovers after wasting some good pets too early. I found that my Black Lamb (H/P) from Elwynn forest did really well. I used a similar moveset to that of the goat from the Kun'Lai master: Sleep, Chew, Stampede. Since h...

I've been using: Landros Lichling Pandaren Waterspirit Stunted Shardhorn (P/P) 1. Landros - Open with CoD 2. Spirit - Geyser 3. Spirit - Whirlpool 4. Shardhorn - Survival 5. Shardhorn - Stampede 6. Shardhorn - Stampede <== dies here If crush misses the spirit and doesn't kill it at the end of step 3...
