Re: No-no
Agree that any team of strong flyers will work, but just because I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread, thought I'd throw out that my H/P Blighthawk usually solos No-No. Wastewalker Shu comes next in my circuit and he solos (or nearly solos) his first two pets too. And it's nice for his self-es...

Re: PvP Battling
Just my thoughts, I'm by no means an expert. There's a reason you're seeing so many undead - because of all those runt teams. :) Anub Idol, imps, and other humanoids are also common, and undead are great for countering them. I'm a very big fan of undead myself and use them on pretty much every team ...

Re: Brutal Pet Brawler debriefing
In this situation I liked the P/S, because the Imp's job was to stay in and do damage while Minefield ticked down, and encourage the opponent to waste time by swapping voluntarily. This is a great example of a situation in which more power would be better. Especially since if the imp is doing enoug...

Re: PET TEAM IDEAS
I'll set my stopwatch for a minute and forfeit at 1:01, how's that? :) Actually, in all seriousness this is probably what I will do with stall teams now. :( I don't want to be rude and keep forfeiting on them, but I have no interest in being forced into 10 minute matches because Blizz couldn't figur...

Re: Fleeing in pvp pet battles
similar to a 'real' PvP fight where you will not get credit if your opponenent manages to escape. "Manages" to escape?? Do you suppose they seriously mean you shouldn't get a win if someone "manages" to hit a button? It's one thing if that slippery druid manages to elude you and you don't get...

I would so forfeit when I saw you. Sorry about the queue.

Re: PET TEAM IDEAS
Okay, but I wish I could still forfeit when I see you coming. :x Both your pets have all their attacks in the same family, so adding some attack variety to your team might be a good idea. Animus is vulnerable to and weak against elementals. Valk is vulnerable to critter attacks, and weak versus aqua...

Re: Brutal Pet Brawler debriefing
Butting in here, but speaking for myself, I would not use any other breed of imp besides s/s. I can't tell you how often I've been grateful for his speed, when I'm either opening with him or bringing him in after another pet dies, so he can get the first turn and force the opposing pet to go away be...

Re: Fleeing in pvp pet battles
How odd they're willing to waste their own time too. Hopefully the thrill of sitting in a queue only to press the shiny white flag button will wear off soon... Before this change, I used to immediately forfeit and concede the win if I saw an idol-crawdad team, because it's inefficient to fight them ...

Re: Fleeing in pvp pet battles
It seems they changed it during restarts today. It appears to have to do with the number of rounds the fight has gone on. If they forfeit immediately or early, you don't get a win. If they forfeit later, you do. I don't know the exact number of rounds and/or damage done required to get credit for a ...

OT, per the discussion of Winter Is Coming teams: I presume we've now all renamed them The North Remembers?

Re: Brutal Pet Brawler debriefing
I played my crow without Darkness this morning. I won, but I think it's because the other pets died of shock.Poofah wrote: Darkness is almost always going to open with Crow/Raven.

Re: Brutal Pet Brawler debriefing
Currently at 373/1000. I lose, um, a lot. But I'm having so much fun I'll pursue the title. I really enjoy my Fiendish Imp. He's on most of my frequently used teams. It's more fun now that more people are familiar with the pet: they're trying to figure out when you're going to do the swap, you try t...

Re: Thank You For NOT Using Cookie Cutter Groups :)
I don't mind seeing Crawdad+Idol+another annoying when it's people who actually want to play that team, and I do my best against them even though I mutter nasty things under my breath because the matches are so long. I have a Never-ending Story team of my own with a crawdad on it, although not the i...

Re: PvP Pet Battles - achieving 10% win rate?
I finished the 250 tonight as well, direhorn is very cute plus I'm guessing he'll be a pretty good little battler - same moveset as the other direhorn but P/P, which the other doesn't have. I hope some of the people feeling frustrated but who are sticking with it for the pet will come to find it mor...

Re: PvP Pet Battles - achieving 10% win rate?
I named the team "Winter is Coming" I have a team called Winter Is Coming too. :) Snowman, Santa's Helper, and Mechanical Yeti. (I didn't want to use the Kun Lai Runt because I just have a personal peeve thing now where I don't want to see them ever. Even on my own teams.) I rarely play that team, ...

I got two blue stones last night (Wednesday) from PVP, and I'd never gotten two in one sitting before. So I'd say it was just bad luck.

Re: Seeker Zusshi
I got bored using snails and found my 2 Emperor Crabs to be the quickest way to get through Zusshi. Breeds probably don't matter here but I happen to have leveled P/P and H/H; here's how I use them: P/P Emperor Crab: Whirlpool, Healing Wave, Surge til Elemental is dead. Swap to H/H Emperor Crab: (Sn...
