Beating strong triple-comps
Things have been quiet on the boards lately so I have decided to post some counters to strong triple-comps that I have been running into lately that are very effective for me. Here are a few of them: Triple Adder - Counter is Skywisp Moth (1,1,2) / Clockwork Gnome (2,2,1) / Lil' Bling (2,2,1) - This...

Re: A double death adder / unborn down by darkness team
I just tested [ability]Focus[/ability]. It causes my Flayer's attacks to go through BP as well. Also, Clockwork Gnome's Turrets generally get through, even under the effect of BP.

Re: A double death adder / unborn down by darkness team
Hrm, interesting. So those moves becomes autohit now if their condition is fulfilled. Yup. [ability]Spirit Claws[/ability] One of the few ways to counter the Adder-Spam, as long as you have the proper weather running of course :D Another ability that can hit through BP, and is often overlooked, is ...

Re: A double death adder / unborn down by darkness team
Same idea as a Moonlight team with Xu-Fu. Nothing is funnier than having Moonlight running, switching in Xu-Fu on an Adder, Prowling, then the Adder hitting you with BP and thinking he is golden, and then getting 1-shot with Spirit Claws, lol. Of course, that only goes for the players that don't kno...

Re: A o E oh My
I don't think there's anything discordant about this. I like to win: I use the strongest pets. I still wish they would knock the overpowered pets down a notch so other pets could make it in competitive teams. I think it's up to the game to enforce balance, not us. Oh, I completely agree with what y...

Re: A o E oh My
I'd also like to add that Haunt DEFINITELY needs a CD of some sort to add more risk to the ability and cyclone needs some kind of nerf... Actually, I have no problem with Cyclone as an AoE. I even don't mind it's synergy with Lightning weather, which I find a very cool strategy. It's Cyclone paired...

Re: A o E oh My
Well it isn't exactly a quality of life improvement since I almost never use AOE pets (my current clonedancer team I made just to collect wins like candy). If a team is 100% about AOE damage they are going to be swapping a lot which means that you can easily counter by swapping and healing your own...

Re: Good setup for a returning player?
Here are some nice, all-around PvP pets. Most of these are very easy to get, or are cheap on the AH. I will put the breeds that I prefer in () after the name. For brevity, I will only list 10. I won't list the FotM/OP stuff as there are enough of them saturating the queues as it is: 1. Emperor Crab(...

Re: So it seems people are really trying to beat me...
Just so you know, I am not trying to be negative here. You are using two extremely powerful pets when paired together, one of which is very broken atm, and the other has a mechanic that becomes broken (Consume Corpse) when used with the first pet's broken ability (if you are using Haunt, which 99% o...

Re: A o E oh My
Anubisath Idol's Sandstorm hits for 370 and S/S Qiraji Guardling's hits for 350. I stand corrected. I used my Idol and tested it against 10 opponents just for kicks (tiny sample size, I know but I don't like using him). I guess my memory inflated numbers a bit. None of the hits were crits, and no b...

Re: A o E oh My
Sandstorm seems fine to me. Its needed to be a counter to dotters and multihitters. I agree that it's nice to be able to counter dotters/multi-hitters, and I have no issue with shields, but Sandstorm acts as a shield for the caster's entire team, effectively negating entire opposing teams, and stop...

Re: A o E oh My
I don't necessarily think that AoE is "overpowered" in any way now, as others have mentioned. It is only really out-of-control with Clonedancer set-ups, and of course the Murk idiocy. I run a few AoE teams as a change of pace, but I don't have any rousing success with any of them as compared to more...

Re: Want some opinions on which critters to go for/level up.
Almost any critter will do well against Lil Ragnaros. Especially if you got Crouch or Burrow. You will take laughable damage and not be interrupted/stunned by the trap. Yeah, I completely forgot to mention Lil' Rag! Good catch. Critters are great for soaking the trap, and in the case of critters ru...

Re: Want some opinions on which critters to go for/level up.
If it's PvP you wanna do, lvl that stoned Spring Rabbit ASAP. S/S rabbits are one of only two critters that I use for PvP, the other being a S/S squirrel. Critters are probably my favorite family of pets and have what I consider a very useful racial, but alas, VERY few of them are actually viable in...

For anyone who is lurking but has not joined in the thread, please take the chance. It's good to get out of your comfort zone and you can really learn a lot. This is very true Harpua. It is great that some people are posting strats with these dust-covered pets as well. It is nice to actually scroll...

Re: Regarding Demolish & blind hit bug - from Blizz
That is sad news. I considered Demolish/Belly Slide similar abilities too weak for personal use, but I did like that they were available. They were too unreliable. Yes, I lost if someone managed to chain many demolishes in a row, but this did not happen frequently. I've tried using Belly Slide in a...

Re: Regarding Demolish & blind hit bug - from Blizz
I just fought a team with an Idol 3 straight times. Not only did the Idol solo my entire DoT team all three times (I didn't just flee so that I could see how Demolish was working as I haven't really battled much since the patch), but Demolish never missed back-to-back in any of the fights with SS up...

Re: Battle with that pet
Well Vek, I have re-evaluated the Wolportinger and have come to the realization that he still sucks, lol. About the only thing he runs "decently" with is a [ability]Dazzling Dance[/ability] type of team so that you can sometimes utilize [ability]Horn Attack[/ability], but even then he is considerabl...

Re: Fix Anubisath Idol!
Some recent Tweets regarding Demolish from LeCraft: "The high hit rate on Demolish is part of an intended system to prevent miss streaks. It's just too effective on high miss chance abilities." - 20 Feb 2014 "It's hitting at ~65% accuracy right now." - 20 Feb 2014 Interesting, and fairly ludicrous ...

The combo is... [pet]Death Adder Hatchling[/pet] [pet]Death Adder Hatchling[/pet] [pet]Unborn Val'kyr[/pet] I have run into this comp a few times, as well as 3x Adders. It is almost as cheesy as the [pet]Unborn Valk'yr[/pet] / [pet]Blighthawk[/pet] / [pet]Stitched Pup[/pet] combo, maybe more-so :) ...
