Re: Need a Sudden Death mechanic?
It's curious to see how people that was asking for nerfs to teams with Murkalot or Kovok, are those who now defend classical teams with infinite healing. What's the difference between these teams and those that have been nerfed so far? Teams that used Kovok generally had a heavy reliance on dots/sw...

Re: team building
A successful pvp pet team should not base on the pet category to build around as to support each other, this kind of thinking will only put you in a very bad and very defensive position and in most of the case, you will fail. A successful pvp pet team should always base on skill to build around it. ...

Re: Tip for handling Minefield
The most efficient way to handle the minefield (actually close to a bug) is by using an undead pet. If you will call an undead pet into the front row and got hit by the mine and IF that hit will kill that undead pet, the following bug will happen : - So on that round when you call in your undead pet...

Re: Your favourite PVP teams
I've gotten really tired of all the damn valks, so I've been using Emperor Crab Mountain Panda Fiendish Imp The crab can absorb a large beating from any undead, and the mountain panda murderizes undead with scratch and mudslide. The problem is : a single Idol can completely destroy your team with d...

Re: Possible glitches that I don't understand
Blinding Poison indeed has a bug which will allow the blinded target in some cases to hit the snake, I had spent lots of time to test this but unfortunately can not find out a clear logic when this will happen, but it sure does exist. Huant on the other hand, like OP mentioned, also has a bug which ...

Re: Need a Sudden Death mechanic?
If Blizz will decide to ban all other specs except DPS in Arena and BG, what will you think the game will be? More fun? Well, you want the game to end faster right? It is ridiculous to suggest anyone whose playing any pets in their team with healing abilities or tanking abilities to be a stall team....

Re: Idol/crawdad teams
Calling for nerf to an idol/crawdad team is ridiculous. If you really want to do so, how about remove all the healer ability and dodge and evasion ability in this game? or like many people are constantly complaining about the hit rate, yeah lets remove all the hit rate and make all skills 100% to hi...

Re: Counter: Haunt - Righteous Inspiration
Scalded Basilisk Hatchling - use crystal prison first, if the murk will use inspiration, great, the valk will be frozen, if the murk will not use inspiration on first round, great, you will have 1 round of free hit. and once he will wake up and use inspiration, great, now you are facing his valk, us...

Re: Alterac Brew-Pup - Another new & strong PVP team
Yes, I think we'll see a lot of Murk + Pup. RI+Avalanche is almost as much damage as RI+Bonestorm, and he has very good stalling abilities to let RI cool down. The Murk nerf didn't address the core issue, so Murk is not going away any time soon. Basically, any time you find a high-cooldown/high-dam...

Re: Alterac Brew-Pup - Another new & strong PVP team
For the skills set of these 3 pets, if above strategy will be used, then the most important element will be hit, because you do not want an extra miss hit to screw up the rotation. Hence the valk should use shadow slash instead of shock, as for the murk, you can see from this rotation, he basically ...

Alterac Brew-Pup - Another new & strong PVP team
Team : Valk Murk Pup Below is the strategy : Round 1 : Murk up first, inspiration, Valk up, eat a hit (assume average dmg 350) 2. Valk haunt (double dmg all the way), opponent will eat 300 dmg 3. Pup up, -50% dmg shield, haunt dmg 300 4. pup AOE, each pet of opponent eat 200, haunt 300 5. pup bite, ...

Re: Murkalot bugged?
After the nerf, there is no doubt the Murk is much difficult to play in PVP battles for lots of playersI have seen some even taking the half damage thorn shield as their second skill instead of the falling. Actually falling is still a very useful skill - it has 684 dmg and hit is 100% guarantee, use...

Re: Murkalot bugged?
I wouldnt say Murk or Kovok have been nerfed to the ground. Murk still works with Righteous Inspiration to buff another pet, or himself for Falling Murloc if last man alive. He have uses, just not blatantly overpowered more. Dont claim murk was nerfed into uselessness, it was mainly bugfixing RI, a...

Re: Stealth nerfs to Murkalot and Kovok
I have no problem for them to reduce the damage to half, but I would like to see the CD to be reduce to 3 rounds instead of 5 rounds, then this could still be useful to some extend. As for the murk, there is no middle ground for this pet, the whole design from the get go is so wrong, their intend is...

Re: Murkalot bugged?
PvP is vital for pet battles' longterm health and continued support. Kovok wouldn't be a fun and interesting pet if not for PvP -- in PvE, we don't need new pets, because we beat all the tamers long ago. Hardly. Its a sidegame of a mini-game. And if they can't do it properly, then its not worth doi...

Re: Murkalot bugged?
What if Blizzard finally decides that geyser + whirlpool + howl + surge of power is just too cheesy a way to beat all of the beasts of fable? I'm sure there will be some people who'll want to whine that PvE broke the Water Spirit for PvP, too (not many, but I bet some will). Will we hear screams to...

Re: Murkalot bugged?
I could not be more right. They wouldn't kneejerk nerf pets without PvP, and we'd be able to have more interesting, fun pets like Kovok. Pet PvP has to go, since they can't seem to handle it properly and it will keep negatively effecting real pet battles. No offense, but the above comment is so lau...

Re: Murkalot bugged?
This is why they just need to get rid of pet PvP. Its the cancer on pet battles. There's a pet that's remotely good, people whine because they don't have it and Blizzard destroys it for all intents and purposes. Better to just keep it as a solely PvE mini-game. You can not be more wrong on this. Mo...

Re: The Murkapult
I feel like the murk/valk/kovok team can be countered by an aquatic with a shield, just like other valk teams. If you swap to a P/P emperor crab or a magical crawdad the turn the valk comes out, your pet shouldn't take more than 200 or so damage from the haunt. And unlike the standard valk teams, t...

Re: The Murkapult
Tried this team for some PVP,
Valk
Murk
Kovok
I can confirm that the inspiration buff will work on the whole duration of the haunt, and this team may not be as strong as the original design, but still is insane at the moment.
