Re: just a tip for new pet battlers
As others have mentioned, either the Terrible Turnip or Molten Corgi is essential if you are still capturing wild pets. I'm a BIG fan of the Emerald Proto-Whelp. It has big "every round" damage with Breath, a big heal with Ancient Blessing, and an avoidance move (plus even bigger damage) with Proto-...

Re: Longest pet battle?
The longest I had was against a team with two sunflowers. I killed his third pet, and he killed two of mine. We wound up with my Xu-fu against his sunflowers. I have no idea how many rounds it took as he endlessly swapped the sunflowers, but I did notice that at every switch, they had slightly lower...

Re: Fool-proof Mr. Terrible, Carroteye, Sloppus Two-Pet Stra
I tried many strategies. Like some others mentioned, killing the back line pets first was just too slow for me. I eventually melded a couple of strategies and came up with a fight I never lost and which killed all three quickly. After letting your trainee pet take a hit, swap in an Emperor Crab. Cas...

Wrathion: [pet]Infected Squirrel[/pet] + [pet]Scourged Whelpling[/pet] I couldn't get the above combo to work, but I did have a fairly easy time when I replaced the Scourged Whelpling with the Anubishi Idol. The squirrel ALMOST finished off the undead lead-off pet, leaving only its undead bonus rou...

Seeing Pet qualities that are not duplicates
I apologize if this has been asked and answered in another thread. I just searched and couldn't find it though, if it is. I am closing in on the last very few uncommon quality pets in my collection that need to be upgraded to rare (in fact I'm now down to just six, going by the count this site gives...

Re: How to get gold to alts on new servers for TSH
Even better, if you have some time run the DMF dailies all week for a couple of fairs and buy a pet. I just sold a Tonk for 2500g to get a new alt flush on a new server. If you ran the Sprite Darter quest with several alts back in the old days, they also bring good cash on the AH. Another idea is to...

Re: WoD AH pets question
There was some question that Blizzard might not respond to CS reports of these issues. Yesterday I reported an account who constantly had 10-12 auctions (each) up for a large variety of very rare pets, and at bargain prices. Does anyone know a legitimate reason why someone is listing 12 Dark Whelpli...

Re: The wild pet that gave you most trouble to find as rare?
This weekend in Tanaris I came across three rare Sand Kittens in a pretty short span of time. However, I circled the shoreline dozens of times without seeing a rare Seagull. I think the issue in Tanaris is that only two pets show in a battle, which cuts down on your chances. When a sand storm came u...

Re: pets specified as guardian and as ninja
Simenon, I know this note comes a year and a few months later, but thank you for that post. I've been trying to relate those text descriptions to specific breeds for a while, and yours is the ONLY comment I've found after a few Google searches that spelled it out. It wasn't hard to figure out that N...

Re: a bug with reimporting pets?
Good news. My collection finally updated today. It was a frustrating time, because during that period I'd gotten around to eliminating the few remaining poors and commons, mostly with hard found rares. After all that work, I wanted the validation of seeing those counts go to zero. LOL

Re: a bug with reimporting pets?
To follow up, I can confirm that this site is showing exactly what is on the armory for my pets list. So it is definitely the armory that is not updating, WarcraftPets is doing its job.

Re: a bug with reimporting pets?
Yes, I've had the same issues, but just since yesterday. Thanks to Morlis for the note about the Armory. Some of my statistics changed (like # of max level pets), but the count and list of various pet qualities is not updating.
