Re: Thoughts on Ruby Droplet and other new pets
I think the way to deal with Kovok is not to mitigate his aoe, but to take him out quickly. You want pets that hit hard and fast, and with a way to keep him out (lots of swaps or muddy weather perhaps). Came across Kovok, Droplet of Y'Shaarj and a third aoe pet the other day (nexus whelpling or some...

Re: Are there reasons to collect more than one of a pet?
I have a few duplicates, but not many. I got an extra raptor to help with the BoF dailies, I got three val'kyrs (1 of each breed maxed, a spare B/B not yet stoned or leveled), two flayer younglings (one S/S and one P/S) and two scourged whelplings, one of each breed. For the most part it's a matter ...

Re: Unborn val'kry haunt
I still maintain that a 4 round cooldown is over the top, given that she is nothing special outside of that ability. You take her for haunt, which people have already worked out plenty of methods to deal with. Another option might be a duration nerf though. This would reduce the damage per haunt cas...

Re: Bomblings duped
There isn't one duping bug, duping methods constantly change as Blizzard shuts them down. That's why duping happens in waves, because when a dupe is fixed it takes time before they find a new one. Often they will also do their duping for a long time while storing things in guild banks, then only rel...

Re: Unborn val'kry haunt
As I said, I do agree that a cooldown would be a good way to go about balancing her, I just think that 3-4 rounds is too much. When she is out and unable to haunt (say she's the last pet left on her team) she's a rather weak pet actually. Curse of Doom is good, but not spectacular. Many ways to coun...

Re: Tiggindy's advice for pet leveling
The emerald proto-drake (I run the PP breed) can solo this fight, though it takes some time. I usually let him take out the first two pets and tank the headbutt, then switch to carry pet for 1 round before I bring out my Gilnean Raven (crow works as well) to finish him. As a flyer it takes reduced d...

Re: Unborn val'kry haunt
3-4 round cooldown would effectively kill the ability, but 1-2 rounds isn't unreasonable. While I most definitely agree she needs a nerf of some kind, I would be sad to see her broken completely (as I would with any pet).

Re: Your 3 Best PvP Pet line up?
Been running a core of Fiendish Imp and Bones spider for some time, with a variety of pets for the 3rd slot. Recently I tried out the Death Adder Hatchling (S/S breed) and it's by far the best one I've tried so far. It adds even more disruption to the team and quite heavy burst despite the SS breed ...

Re: 100k Gold. What to buy first?
Just going to give a little input when it comes to duped items. I used to work the auction house pretty heavily, if there was profit to be made there was a good chance I was involved in the market. This did include duped items, something which I am not proud of. Now, I was never involved in duping t...

Re: Unborn val'kry haunt
Swap teams can deal with the valk pretty well in my experience. Either he spends a lot of turns trying to get the valk out, or she's parked on the backline for most of the fight. As mentioned previously the trick is to take down at least 1 of the opponents pets before the valk really gets into play....
