Re: How rare is rare??
5% seems about right. Some could be more rare, but I doubt it. At a 5% rare rate, there's a 0.5% chance that a certain pet will take you more than one hundred battles to find. More if you accidentally kill one or dislike the breed you got, obviously. Considering the number of wild pets out there, it...

Re: Celestial Tournament - Reckon I'm prepared?
Other than the general guidance here and in other threads, do we have any kind of cohesive guide, or must-have pet lists? There aren't really any pets that you must have, just ones that are exceptionally useful. It mostly comes down to covering as many possibilities as you can, so what pets you nee...

Re: Unborn Val'kyr - Haunt
There is only a handfull (wild) pets that survives for 4 rounds, so basically, it's a suicide spell... Against wild pets, sure, but wild pet battles are usually very easy anyway. There are plenty of other spells that also have little use against wild pets (like Explode and Death Grip). That doesn't...

Gotta catch one of each of all. Duplicates are useless unless you need them for some specific battle plan, and that feels a bit like cheating anyway.Skyquake wrote:A unique pet is a unique pet. Gotta catch 'em all!

Re: Celestial Tournament - Reckon I'm prepared?
one glance at synergy6's collection should be enough to see that he is, indeed, prepared in the sense that he has a huge number of level 25 pets. 66 pets isn't exactly a "huge" number. You need 75 to get the leveling achievement, and most serious pet battlers will be sitting on 100+. Of course, the...

If you really want to kill critters, get a yeti. Kun-Lai Runt , Stunted Yeti and [pet]Lil' Bad Wolf[/pet] (who isn't a yeti, but close enough) are all excellent. Humanoid type with beast attacks means less damage taken and more damage done. LBW comes with Howl , which is especially great against the...

Re: PvP Achievement: Easiest/Fastest way?
Honestly? While lame, the fastest way to get to 250 wins is to not bother fighting. Get whatever team looks kinda scary (include the rarest pets you have) and hope your opponents leaves. If they don't within the first round, leave and queue again. Even if only one in ten opponents leaves on seeing y...

Re: Is there any point in keeping Polished Battle Stones?
Not really. They can let you upgrade a captured pet be okay-ish if you urgently need it for whatever, but it would be better to just save a couple of flawless stones for such occasions. If you actually have the foresight to save up stones, you'll never need polished ones. Note that they only vendor ...

Re: Celestial Tournament - Reckon I'm prepared?
There is also a really good opportunity to use wild jade(gold) hatchlings with lightning storm along with a turrets pet and stuff like that. Another option is the Sunreaver Micro-Sentry , as it's a mechanical with Call Lightning . The downside is that it doesn't have any spamable mechanical attack....

Re: Need help
As a bit of bonus advice, pick up a moth and a water strider from the Vale. They're very useful for trainer battles (killing aquatics and elementals respectively), and it's pretty easy to get a high level rare of each as they're all over the place. Spend ten minutes each leveling them, and you've go...

Re: PvE Dream Team
Toothy , Enchanted Broom and Snowy Owl . I nearly always use at least one of those three in every pandaria trainer battle, so I know very well what they're capable of by now :) I personally prefer Sea Gull for my flier of choice, as it's one of the few birds that can pick both Cyclone and Lift-Off ...

Re: Need help
Battling is a struggle at the start because you're so limited in your team. Or because you're using inferior quality pets (possibly of the wrong families). When I first started playing with pet battles, my team consisted of an uncommon mechanical, a common critter and a common undead. Not unexpecte...

Re: Celestial Tournament - Reckon I'm prepared?
Would it be easier if he had more pets leveled up? Sure. If it's anything like the spirit tamers or beasts of fable, you'll need a "perfect" setup for most fights. Not necessarily the perfect pet, but the right family. Having a hundred critters and moths doesn't help if the tournament calls for fou...

Re: PvE Dream Team
A crab (preferably rare) and the singing sunflower (from the Hillsbrad quest). For the third pet, use Son of Animus or an emerald whelpling if you happen to have them, otherwise just some random rare beast with Devour. Overall, pets with reliable healing are great for leveling as you end fights with...

Re: Need help making my first team
Make that three moths. There are plenty of variants in Pandaria that are already high level, so getting three rare ones to 25 is quite easy. All the aquatic legendary pets can be beaten by simply throwing moths at them.Shakesbeard wrote:...any moth...

Re: When opponents constantly leave
I have seen teams, and thought, ´ok, this will be a decent fight´ and then they just quit. It could be that they're after the number of victories achievements and just don't bother with what looks like a long and even fight. Instead of wasting time on a long battle that could go either way, just fo...

Re: Three Celestial Tournament questions.
You don't need more than one of any single pet. You can certainly choose to use 2 or 3 if you desire, but it is definitely not necessary. Not even close. Oh, realy? May I believe, what you already won Celestial Tournamen on PRT, and just dont want to show us your strategy? It's unlikely that any fi...

Re: Three Celestial Tournament questions.
You'll need more pets than that. There are 3 tamers (selected out of a total of 9 possibilities), and then 4 elite pets. Probably need 7 teams every week. Plus a bunch of scouting fodder if you want to find out the order and abilities of each tamer and elite without looking it up online. They won't...

I love the spiders. Go to Duskwood. East of Raven Hill(lvl6-7) you can find a Dusk Spiderling or a Widow Spiderling (get both). When you get to level 15 stick with Brittle Webbing. Anything you fight takes damage when it hits your pet. The spider uses Leech Life and keeps healing itself. Spiders ar...
