Re: -=Family Affinities Reference Table=-
Well thank you :) Glad you appreciated. As stated earlier, the Excel wasn't easy to work with either, as the line height limit would not allow me to display the full content of some of the busier cells... and I made the switch to HTML before I was finished filling in the table in Excel, so the Excel...

Yeah me too, and add Brittle Webbing to that list.Talmar wrote:I prefer the one big hit vs the multiple hit abilities because of abilities like shell shield and sandstorm.
(Although in this specific case, the bleed will also be bad agaisnt Brittle Webbing...)

Re: Best grinding spots for mech stone?
Poeple actually farm cogblade raptors for mech stones? Gee, took me hours just to see ONE! it was gray but at least I have one now... The only spot I was able to find on my server that would allow me to defeat mech pets repeatitively was the tiny harvesters in westfall.. did that for 3 hours, no luc...

Re: Darkmoon Rabbit vs. Other Rabbits?
He's just... a little different. The strength of rabbits reside mostly in Dodge and Burrow, and he does have both abilities at least. But where other rabbits would have multi-attack of the Critter type, he has a one hit attack + DoT of the Beast Type. In other words, he'll be more efficient at killi...

Re: What do you guys think?
I've encountered Magical Crawdad more than once in PvP, he's still a popular pet. And that was just one example, many pets have damage reduction abilities, which destroys any pet sololy built on DoTs. And if you got through him easily, with that team, and he had the Crawdad, he was clearly doing it ...

Re: What do you guys think?
Could be interesting, but easily counterable.. For example: 1) Throw in Magical Crawdad 2) Cast Shell Shield, block 99% of DoTs and AoEs 3) Have Wish as back up that will heal you for 2k health since its boosted by Sunny Day (thanks singing sunflower!), in case some damage eventually goes through Sh...

Re: Darkmoon crow
Mmm, I should have looked at this pet more carefully, I like his skill set! Gonna have to get myself a rare one and level him :) He's got Alpha Strike, and you know you'll have to use it while you wait on Call Darkness/Nocturnal Strike cooldowns (assuming you're going with these abilities, which sou...

Re: Benefits of having a Breed 5/15 pet?
Hehehe good point. I'm seeing a lot of PVPers with pets specifically there to take down elementals though (Snails or the Crawdad with Surge), as Elementals are very popular in PVP teams. And strangely I don't see the Fluxfire Feline nearly as much as I should. Plus I like to be able to use Deep Free...

Re: Scourged Whelpling "Camp"ground Tips
There's only 2 breed for this pet.. 6/16 (H/H) or 8/18 (P/S).. Given Tail Sweep deals additionnal damage when going last, I'd go with 6/16 for minimum speed. But even with 8/18, he's only at 257 speed at 25, so still pretty slow, maybe some people will prefer the extra power 8/18 provides. As for th...

Re: Scourged Whelpling "Camp"ground Tips
I don't think there's fixed spawning times now, well at least not for this pet. Used to be easier to get one on server resets, but this has been hotfixed in 5.1. And yeah, he's pretty good of a pet, especially considering he's the only Undead with a Humanoid attack, making him particularly good agai...

Re: Benefits of having a Breed 5/15 pet?
Scalded Basilisk Hatchling x2, plus one pet of your choice: the Basilisks have 305 speed and you pick Crystal Prison, Feign Death, and Thrash (or Screech, it doesn't matter). As long as you go first, you can do Crystal Prison, Thrash (opponent is still stunned at this point), Feign Death to get the...

Re: Upgrading pets with Battle Stones.
Yup
There's still several pets that only come as uncommon, I believe they are all upgradable with battle stones though.
Still looking for a mechanical one to upgrade my Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, which is a good example of that.

Re: Giraffe Calf question
Dragon Kite would be the best pick against the Giraffe Calf
Unless the Giraffe Calf is using the critter attack for Slot 1 and Bleat in Slot 3.. in which case Anubisath Idol, Curious Wolvar Pup and Grunty would be best fit.
I love my overly complicated pet family affinities table... lol

It worked fine for me, thanks! The only complaint is that since it's not the actual Excel file I can't freeze the first row/column so it makes it a pain when I have to scroll over or down. I'm going to use this to populate my own spreadsheet though, I really appreciate your hard work. Yeah I know w...
