Re: Sea Pony pet
Sorry, it's always going to be my belief high quality pets should be rarer than ones that aren't. I understand some people may have bad luck with it, but the vast majority can acquire this pet within the space of less than an hour on average. That's just not what I'd call rare.

Re: Darkmoon Faire - Which Pet First?
Monkey and Cub acquired now. I got a little behind in the first month (was too busy playing something engaging...) but decently on track for January. I didn't get two of the artifacts, but I'm not going to break my back hoping for RNG (and these two are never on the AH).

Re: Darkmoon Prize Tickets
I kept trying my Adventurer's Journal and eventually the quest accepted; Insignia was still bugged. I submitted a ticket and got 10 tickets for whatever reason even though I only "deserved" the 5. Be sure to note that the GM will *delete* the items from your backpack though, so there's no free ride ...

Re: Darkmoon Faire - Which Pet First?
Be sure to send in a ticket on battle.net if you have an artifact you are unable to turn in; Blizzard have said they will award you will the appropriate DMF prize ticket reward. I'd also recommend stocking up on the quest items when you can catch them for cheap on your local AH. Generally the prices...

Re: Sea Pony pet
I think the drop rate on this was a bit too high. Unfortunate the best DMF pet is the easiest to get, and the duller ones will take us months.

Re: Lump of Coal...
Well spoken indeed. I frequented the old official WoW forums prior to the conversion to bnet and this discussion seemed to arise quite frequently. Any time myself or another serious collector complained about Blizzard's RNG pet decisions, the mindless masses would shout things such as "You aren't en...

Re: Lump of Coal...
I wouldn't say RNG isn't fun in itself; it's mostly time limit, daily limit RNG that isn't fun. When you have a handful of chances at something that is apparently not a very good drop rate only a few times per year, it is the least fun of anything Blizzard has ever created. I don't mind a 1% drop ch...

Re: Darkmoon Faire - Which Pet First?
Ugh, I know right? If I'd known this I would have lived in low-level dungeons and stock-piled like, eight of each dungeon drop for Ritsuka when I had the chance. Leave it to Blizzard to break something that was functioning nicely. Now it's basically stalk the AH or say bye-bye to already scarce tic...

Re: Darkmoon Faire - Which Pet First?
Unfortunately, it looks like DMF has been nerfed/buffed to some extent and old bosses won't drop the items for high leveled characters. Can anyone confirm that? Horrible if so, I should have farmed the items up when I had the chance, now I have to do boring content and roll against casual people who...

Re: Why isn't this a pet?
It would need a unique model first, but yeah, this particular item might have been nice as a pet. Quest reward pets are still a few and far in between. Gasp, doing something that's actually a goal with a reward? Imagine it!

This is just about over now. I gotta say it was a wonderful holiday Blizzard, I know I had a ton of fun with this joke of an event.

Nope, that's about par for the course on decently populated realms. Another one of Blizzard's grand ideas. Ride a gryphon there and back, wait for the RNG.Twilight wrote:Still no Lumpy for me.

Oh my Cthulhu it's ridiculously precious. It is a CRIME to have made such a gorgeous pet-looking model and just tease us with it! We need some more goggies anyway. I think Pugs are almost alarmingly ugly, but Corgis = love. (Though I must admit, I'd prefer it not being available to it being only av...

That's an average of over 4100g per pet! What in the world did you buy so many of that cost so much?Moritach wrote:Ended up giving 12 pets away for a total of 50k gold... and didn't get a single present back from any of my wow buddies... Re: Macabre Marionette
I'm not sure how difficult it could be to make this a proper companion pet. In fact, I would think it took them extra work to make this a nonstandard item that only will appear a certain two days of the year. They seemed to have went out of their way to make this a false pet and yet give a flimsy ex...

Re: What pet(s) did you give/get for the holidays?
I got the Hippogryph Hatchling a couple of years back from a friend before Blizzard stripped it of its originality. I gave out some pets this year to a few people. Elementium Geode and Magic Lamp, and the Purple Puffer to the same person who gave me the Hippogryph a while back. They don't care for p...

Re: Lump of Coal...
Still nothing. Reading Quintessence's blog, I have to agree. This is not fun. This isn't engaging or exciting. "Hoping" is not a fun task and has zero upside to it. You either get lucky and find the pet, feeling no accomplishment but that feeling of relief you were lucky or you are graced to feel th...

Re: Lump of Coal...
Yeah, I don't think the drop rate is great. I don't see myself getting this one on my main character, I've already had too good of luck with the Frostling and Oozling.
