Re: What Pandaren Spirit to get?
Water. Definitely water. I've got all of them at 25, and the water spirit gets used several times per day while the rest see action only rarely. You'll get them all eventually if you have some patience, though. The air spirit has a lovely move set, but its usefulness is limited by the fact that it's...

Re: Hit chance reduction definitely bugged.
Normally I'd have no problem accepting this - but it displays 0% for my opponent in their actual interface as well. So it's NOT due to an add-on. So it's an interface bug. It would hardly be the first time a listed pet hit chance was incorrectly displayed. There are a couple of pet abilities with d...

Think of the gold as a "Mote of Pet". Gather enough gold and you can buy some pet you're missing off the AH.Anasa wrote:When that boss has a grand total of 3 items for my class, and I got them all from "normal" drops, they become just another "you won gold! Isn't that great?" outcome.

Re: Explain this to me, Community.
Considering that I use my Unborn Val'kyr for both trainer and beast of fable battles every day, along with using it in the tournament, it's definitely not just a very rare pet. It's a very versatile and useful little undead pet. Whether or not it's worth the effort to get is debatable ([pet]Ghostly ...

Re: Naming 5.4 pets
Considering the amount of time I had to camp to get some of them, I named most of the rare drop ones after whatever drops them. Garnia, etc.

Re: Looking For Teams VS Chi-Chi, Xu-Fu, Yu'la and Zao
My personal choices: Chi-Chi Lofty Libram 122, Lil' Tarecgosa 211, Shimmering Wyrmling 121 Pretty straight-forward shooting. The birdie goes ethereal on turns 3, 7, 11, 15, etc. so use your self-buffs during those turns. Xu-Fu Anything with lightning, Lil' Bling 2X1, whatever Probably the hardest of...

Re: New Blizzcon Pet! Murkalot!
While he looks cool, I'm confused. How does a Murloc Knight fit the Blizzard games? Murlocs from Blizzcon is a tradition, and one of he biggest new things this Blizzcon (that's been announced in advance... hello, WoW expansion?) is the expansion for Diablo 3 featuring a return of the paladin class ...

Re: Son of Animus (venting)
Same here. I probably killed over 50 rares on Timeless Isle and not a single pet dropped. RNG is so unfair sometimes. Considering the drop rates, 50 killer per pet seems about par for the course. Expect each pet to require several days of camping to get. Seriously. It's a filler zone, so you're not...

Re: Wonky reset times with the Celestial Tournament
It really doesn´t affect anything. The pets cannot be caged or sold, and there isn´t anything worthwhile to really buy with the coins after you have the 4 pets. Which is all the more reason not to do this. The fact is that you're exploiting a bug to do a quest more often than is intended, getting r...

Re: Hit chance reduction definitely bugged.
And if you use an add-on to show enemy moves the tooltip even shows that Moth Balls has a 0% hit chance and Cocoon Strike has a 50% hit chance. Now you Beam (hits his cocoon) and check the tooltips again and Moth Balls still has a 0% hit chance. Yet he still hits anywhere from 2-4 times every time....

[pet]Tranquil Mechanical Yeti[/pet] (lightning/ion cannon) is quite useful for mechanical burst teams, as is the [pet]Rabid Nut Varmint 5000[/pet], being one of very few mechanicals who comes with a damage taken debuff. Those two together can kill most of the beast-type fables in 4-5 rounds.

Re: Nishi buffed in 5.4?
Pandaren Water Spirit (111) can beat both elementals quite easily, especially if you start with a carry pet that has a weather spell. The sunflower always starts with Sunlight -> Photosynthesis -> Solar Beam. Carry pet starts the first round, switch to the spirit on the second, and dive to avoid the...

Definitely S/S if you plan to use [ability]Dodge[/ability] and/or [ability]Tornado Punch[/ability]. Dodge in particular becomes twice as good if you're faster than your opponent, as you get two rounds of dodging.

Scary sprites are spawning all over the place. I got nine today, up from seeing a total of one over the past few days. Still no pet, but at least now it's realistic to hope to ever get one.

Most of them are actually easier to get now than they were two weeks ago. All the rares that are on timers will be up more. The crab and the snakes are the two exceptions to that rule, unfortunately.Graven wrote:To be honest, I'm thinking I've already left it too late to get a shot at some of the rare pets.

Re: Eng. Mount or pets first?
The pets. Even if you just want to sell, expect the AH to be full of that mount on day #30. Every engineer seems to plan to sell them, while I don't think people are exactly going to be lining up to pay a fortune for a mount. Anyone who has the money and cares that much probably has an engineer alt ...

Re: PSA on rare spawn timers on the Timeless Isle
Based on spending lots of time camping rares on the island (got 7/11 pets), there are two categories of rare spawns: Timed ones , all on a 30-60 minute timer: Bufo, Gu'chi, skunky brew event, Spirit of Jadefire, Leafmender, Garnia. The best way to get these is to note down the time when they last di...

Getting on an albatross shouldn't be that much work. Finding a Skywisp Moth is easy that way, though trying to find a rare one is madness.

Re: Any Scary Sprite insights?
I think the main insight on this one is that if you wait for the next expansion, the island will be empty and you'll have enough gear that this will be trivial. The crystal will be up all the time and killing any sprite that spawns will be easy.
