Re: 500 club not so easy
Grats on 500 I really don't think it's an easy task. I'm at 467 currently and could get to ~485 pretty easily if I finished collecting all the easy to catch wild pets I haven't bothered with yet and could probably get to ~490 with some of the easier non-wild pets I haven't gotten around to getting b...

Re: Ability Type vs Pet Type??
I think as a general trend it is true that for most pets their ability types for most of their moves match their pet type. Obviously there are lots of individual exceptions but I think it still works as a general rule. Most undead pets have largely undead move. Most aquatic pets have largely aquatic...

Flowing Pandaren Spirit 15 rounds 1: Vampiric Batling [-] (1,2,1) 2: Carry pet (your Carry pet should have around 700 HP to survive the fight) 3: Emerald Proto-Whelp [4] (2,1,1) vs Marley - Reckless Strike > Hawk Eye > Reckless Strike > Bite vs Tiptoe - Bite until your Vampiric Batling dies > switc...

Re: Wild Crimson Hatchling with Aki?
This fight should be a joke to beat with any decent pet that has a good dmg reduction buff/debuff. Several have already been mentioned here such as a Crab or Anub but there are many other options available. The key is that the cricket's only attack is the stamped type attack. A good dmg reducer will...

Re: Pet Family Specific Battle-Stones Trade
Just FYI but you are looking to trade the least need family specific stones for the most needed so you probably aren't going to have much luck at that. Next patch you should be able to trade three class specific stones for one generic ones so hold onto all the extra stones.

Re: Beasts of Fable - Pro Team
I've used an Apocalypse team to beat Nitun once because he was just a pain after the change. I've since switched to the Val, Water Spirit Chrominius team to beat him. Everyone else I use an obvious counter team. For Aquatic it is Yellow moth (p/p), some other moth and my Vampiric batling. Depending ...

Re: Gorespine!
Mech units that can explode seem to work well. The dmg from exploding doesn't seem to get reduced by their buff currently. It makes the Darkmoon Zep or Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling very good. Decode gets you an extra round of attacking and you kill yourself at the end for good dmg. Darkmoon tonk i...

Re: 5 Round Death to Dos Ryga
I've found that a debuff and blow up strategy works best for dos ryga. I've beaten it with moths or other counter pets but it can be pretty random based on what abilities he uses and if I happen to get lucky on the dust putting him to sleep. My blow him up crew is one that was posted on the forums h...

Burning Pandaren Spirit 17 rounds 1: Anubisath Idol [-] (1,2,1) 2: Snarly [-] (1,1,2) 3: Carry pet (will take quite a bit of damage from Crimson’s Cyclone. Should have 500 HP +) I don't really like this as it fails about once out of three times for me. Is there a way to see the history of this guid...

Re: Raiding with Leashes II: worst drop rate ever?
The most frustrating is the Coilfang Stalker. I have to use two toons with the wife playing one, which is stressful for both of us. The most frustrating is the one stuck behind the RNG of the chess event  Seriously though Vash'j is soloable by most classes with little effort. Certainly a lot ...

Aki the Chosen vs Chirrup - Shell Shield > Whirlpool > Snap - Chain cast Snap, unless there is 1-turn left on your Shell Shield (then recast it) Snap does 514 damage against Chirrup, Whirlpool only does 468 damage. I think it's better to not use Whirlpool against Chirrup and save the cooldown for S...

Re: Longest Day bug - GM's laughlable answer.
I sure hope they don't stick to that decision. I completed the achievement but used multiple characters because I have a couple alts parked by a couple of the battle masters. I haven't bothered to petition yet but I guess I should. I'm not sure if I would actually bother to redo the achievement on o...

Re: Quick and Dirty Primer to Raiding With Leashes II
Vasij was the only one I had real problems with. Chess in Kara can be random but I got through it on two characters with no major problems. For Vasij I'd recommend downloading the DBM for it. The "normal" DBM doesn't contain stuff for old raids anymore but there is a version that has all the origina...

Re: MGTTDPB 5.2: My guide to tamer daily pet battles for 5.2
2. PANDARIA 2.1 Aki the Chosen Any crab and any moth seems to work well enough. I'd definitely favor Power on the moth as my S/S moth doesn't always dominate Whiskers. 2.2 Thundering Pandaren Spirit Any rabbit with speed 301 or greater should do. I don't actually have one yet to test but Darnak is s...

Re: MGTTDPB 5.2: My guide to tamer daily pet battles for 5.2
Hi all. Great thread. It's really helped me think about these battles. Even tho I don't have all the right pets to make all the fights easy to carry a leveling pet yet it has helped make most of the fights much easier and I can carry a leveling pet through most even if it isn't always 100% reliable....

Re: Lets talk Double Counter pets
While not actually a double counter I find that I often prefer a water strider pet to a snail. A snail should be able to beat any elemental, especially when you go Absorb/Shell/Dive, but it can be very time consuming. A strider on the other hand can hit much harder with the water jet/pump combo and ...

Re: Never know which breeds to look for
I also just picked up an addon for more filter options and it allows you to search your own in game collection much more thoroughly. For instance I can search by rarity, level sub section, or even breeds. The only let down is you have to already have the pet to search breeds like this. Here is a fe...
