Widow Spiderling

After a long night of battling common and uncommon Widow Spiderlings, my fellow band of Tiny Harvesters sat by the side of the road under a dark tree dripping with spider webs.  We drank crude oil and unleaded gas.  Our gears were tired; it had been a long night, when lo and behold a Widow sat down beside us.  We were undaunted.  It would be close, we were drunk from oil and gas, but we were more drunk for battle.  After a short fight we caged the rare wily beast.

I spent 3 nights looking for my rare Widow Spiderling, and I can confirm the following: 

- they spawn at exactly 8:00pm server time.  If you are in the right spot, you'll see a bunch of them appear instantly.  I waited in the area east of Raven Hill, north of the road, saw 8 to 10 of them appear at same time.

- some will spawn inside trees.  Simply target them with "/target Widow", and then use your 'interact with target' key bind.  It worked every time for me.

I can comfirm that these spawn at 8:30 PM server time.

2.30.pm  got a green it was hiding in one of the tree crevaces. Thanks to ingame pet tracking cause I would never had see it.

And as Delffingers7 said that there was one in a tree.... yeah annoying , found the tree.(bottom of the area) but could not spot the spider 

I was collecting the "unique to area" pets and annoyed at myself that I didn't pick up one of these the night before.  Was by Raven Hill/Twilight Grove border checking out the Dusk hatchlings and there was a lone widow spiderling, sort of stuck in a tree!  It was 10:30 am so it is possible to find one during the day.  I grabbed it for ach, only a common but at least it saves me a trip back here.  Duskwood gives me the heebie geebies!

I can confirm...they come as a secondary pet when battling dusk spiderling during the day :)

I just battled and caught a green Widow Spiderling at 1:54pm local and server time in Duskwood.  I'm on Ysera.  I just wanted to report that since the description says that this is an evening only pet.  I had previously caught and/or battled gray ones but those happened between 8pm and 10pm local and server time.

edit: It was the second behind a Dusk Spiderling.  The gray ones were behind Dusks as well.

Widow spiders are very beautiful creatures in "real life" and the Warcraft version is no exception. If you are a spider lover, make your way over to Duskwood and grab yourself one of these deadly ladies. You won't be disappointed! Happy hunting.

found mine at 19:00 as a secondary of a skunk. 

Caught one at 2:54pm server time. Dusk spiderlings were up too. So it has no relation to IRL clock. I think it's in-game daynight cycle or something.

as of December 27 2019 this pet spawns at 9:30 pm est(this is also Server time) 

I flew around forfeiting battles for almost a hour and right at 9:30 server time tons of them spawned West of Twilight Grove 

I can confirm it DOESN'T have to be NIGHT time to catch one. Just got mine as PRIMARY, it's 7 past midday (12:07) server time, so.... Keep looking ;)

EDIT: Found 2nd one FIVE minutes later ;))). Again as a primary ;).

I can confirm that it doesn't have to be when the sun is going down. It's currently 2:16PM server time and I caught one. It was raining, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. There seems to be one hanging out with a bunch of the dusk spiderlings.

This seems to be tied to the sun going down in-game, if you fly up high enough to see it

These do not only spawn at night, currently 2pm server time and there are plenty around west of Twilight Grove.

Finally found my level 6 rare.  3 Aug 14 11:05 PM US PST  in Duskwood at 32, 39.

Showed up sometime between 9-9:30pm server time. They respawn very quickly, so go nuts. Little green paws were popping up almost as quickly as I could kill them!

Has anyone ever seen a main spawn? I am running around for a half hour, and still nothing. 830-9 server.

as previously mentioned, this spider only comes out at night. i saw they started popping up at 8:30pm server time, on rexxar. there were lots out camping for these buggers, so perhaps i didn't see them before hand. they can also double up as a second pet with all the others in the zone, saw mainly with skunks, dusk spiderlings, rats, and mice. good luck to those getting it, my rare was off the main road. also, i saw one in a tree that was untargetable, at (35.01, 53.06), on the raven hill side.

i captured an uncommon one of these today at 12:30 pm, and not as a secondary i was just entering and surrendering random battles to see if i could find one as a secondary and as i surrendered the 5th battle there he was, couldn't believe what i was seing
