celestial pet question

I haven't tried after a specular loss on my very first attempt on timeless isle and I'd like to go back and try to farm coins to buy the 4 celestial pets.

Is there a guide on what pets are good vs their team? I have many level 25 pets and I can level other to 25 if needed.

There is a particularly wonderful guide to the Celestial Tournament on wowhead.com called "A Pet Battler's Guide to: Defeating the Celestial Tournament". It includes a list of needed pets, step-by-step strategy instructions, alternative strategies, and an alternative pets list (in case you were missing something for the base strategy).

This is a slightly trimmed down guide (18 pets needed I think)

Just be aware with so few pets, the chance for RNG to screw you is much higher.

I followed that 18 pet guide during Mop enough to get all 4 tourney pets and never once was hit by RNG. So yes it certainly is possible, but I consider it unlikely.
