Elfuego Scrappin Daily Squirt Guide

Post by Elfuego » December 5th, 2014, 9:15 am

Hey guys, pretty easy boss today. Her pets are [pet]Deebs[/pet], [pet]Tyri[/pet], and [pet]Puzzle[/pet]. I used a variation of my Tarr the Terrible team and nuked her. An easy 2 pet team : [pet]Pandaren Mechanical Dragonling[/pet] and [pet]Blighthawk[/pet]. I had [pet]Stitches[/pet] in the wings but the two just ripped thru her. Using [ability]lift-off[/ability] to negate damage is just to good!

Squirt Video Guide : http://youtu.be/EQDjZXZoAsY

Start with Pandaren Mechanical Dragonling. Get your [ability]Decoy[/ability] up First, it will negate incoming damage. From there its just [ability]Breath[/ability] spam until hes within about 98 life left. His ability [ability]Weakness[/ability] will decrease your damage by 50% so be sure hes in range for [ability]thunderbolt[/ability], to edge a little damage off the back row.

When Tyri comes in, hes gonna hit hard, so just use the dragonling to soak [ability]Call of Darkness[/ability] and [ability]Surge of Light[/ability]. Keep him in for as long as you can or until light stuns, then swap for the [pet]Blighthawk[/pet]. With Blighthawk in, start with [ability]Infected Claw[/ability]. I usually only have to use claw for 2 rounds to get him range for [ability]Ghostly Bite[/ability] and hes done.

With [pet]Puzzle[/pet] in play, just pas the round if[pet] Blighthawk[/pet] is stunned from Ghostly Bite. IF not, just use claw. Puzzle will start with [ability]Coin Toss[/ability], then go into [ability]dodge[/ability], so use [ability]Lift-off[/ability] to let the dodge resolve. After coming down, watch his health. It should only be a matter of clawing him down to within range of a final Ghostly Bite. Rememeber, your damage will be increased with the debuff he puts up on you !

Good luck guys, look forward to hearing your strats and variations!

Thanks for the strategy, [profile]Elfuego[/profile]. Worked great. Got good rng and did not have to use 3rd pet.

Actually Presto I've been streamlining it to power level a pet off it. When Puzzle first comes in he uses dodge, so I just swap the level pet then. After he uses dodge, I swap back into the Blighthawk. Ghostly bite hits for about 1.2k and you get a pet leveled out of it.

I've been going with
s/s Cogblade Raptor with (Batter, Overtune, Exposed Wounds)
s/s Spider (any s/s spider) with (Poison Spit, Brittle Webbing, Leech Life)

Breed matters. They must be faster than all the pets.

1st Enemy:
Exposed Wounds
Overtune
Batter
Overtune
Batter until 1st enemy dead (should only be 1-2 times)

Important Note: Cogblade raptor must not have used the mechanical racial for this to work. He needs to soak the first two hits from the 2nd enemy.

2nd enemy:
Exposed Wounds
Batter
Bring in Spider and cast Brittle Webbing
Swap to Carry
Swap to Spider

Note: 2nd enemy should kill himself due to Brittle Webbing + Exposed Wounds by this point. If not, one hit should finish him off

3rd enemy:
Poison Spit
Leech Life
Brittle Webbing
Leech Life
(repeat these 4 steps until the last pet dies)

Note: Leech Life has an interesting mechanic in that even if it misses, as long as some damage is done to him, you will heal. If poison spit is on him, the tick (which will hit through both dodge and portal) will trigger a heal. If brittle webbing is also on him at the time, both heals will still trigger as well.

I like your strat though Elfuego. I'll give it some goes for fun!

EDIT: Yours is definitely faster. I might try and see if I use the cogblade rapture in place of the mech dragonling to speed up the first pet.

EDIT2: I think I like the cogblade rapture a little better because he dies to the stun attack allowing me to a smoother transition sometimes. There is a slight chance the cogblade won't kill the first pet without triggering failsafe, but given how easy it is to restart a menagerie battle and how low chance it is, I'll go with him as the first pet and blighthawk as the second.

EDIT3: Played around with a S/S Blue Clockwork Rocket bot:
Minefield
Launch Rocket spam until 1st pet dies.
Minefield
Batter *bot should die here
Infected Claw
Ghostly Bite
Swap to Carry
Swap to Blighthawk
Infected Claw
Ghostly Bite

Something to play with at least

Great strategy. Made quick work of them, and leveled a few pets too :D

Worked great for me though I switched out Thunder Bolt for Bombing Run.

They are all human pets so Puzzle was healed by the time I got him and Bombing Run would hit Tyri even if Mech Dragon dies

Anyone else have any teams that have worked for this one? I don't have either of those pets to lvl 25, though I do have a 17 MPD...not quite high enough yet.

Tried a few strats, including Chrom's Howl Bomb, but haven't gotten past the second pet yet.

Any thoughts would be helpful.
Thaliana#1794 - My WoW account has 50 toons, so I would so greatly appreciate people creating toons on Kael'Thas or Ghostlands to trade with me. <3

Not sure what folks can do about the first pet because I found that the Mechanical Pandarian Dragon did work best but I've also read Scourged Whelpings work too.

But for those of you without the fancy arsenal of battle pets I can honestly say this - best 2nd pet is a Snail. I had some of the secondary pets recommended by Tyrel (looks like an Unborn Val'kyr but is actually humanoid) kept stunning everything and just making me lose my groove.

The snails can't be stunned and using Absorb (strong on humanoid) and Dive when you think a big hit is coming helped get me down to the 3rd pet with the snail still alive. Then when that 3rd bugger came in I hit him up with Acidic Goo. Sure it's weak on humanoids but at least you'd be working away at him when Puzzle went into Dodge mode. I didn't get a chance to kill him with my snail (I used my ever trust Rapana Whelk aka Lawrence Whelk) but my Lost of Lordaeron finished up the job and finally got to level 25.

I have said this many time - snails are your friends. They are easy to find and great against all those Pandaran Spirit Tamers (especially if you don't have the Anusibuth Idol).

I don't think it matters. I'm using a basic BB and I'm only needing to claw once before Tyri is in bite range... at least when I don't get unlucky with the first attack from the MPD.

Another variation:

Zandalari Anklerender (any breed) with Primal Cry, Black Claw, and Hunting Party.
Blighthawk with Infected Claw, Ghostly Bite, and Liftoff

Gist:
Black Claw + Hunting Party (3 rounds total) is enough to kill Deebs, even under full weakness debuffs. For Tyri, you either want the Primal Cry debuff up on him so Blighthawk can liftoff to avoid the Surge of Light or you want to soak the first two hits with your Zandalari. The breed of the Zandalari determines this:

S/S Anklerender: Faster than first two pets baseline, so it can usually get to Tyri with enough hp to survive 2 hits (soak the Darkness + surge of light). Still want to use primal cry for some damage vs Tyri, but don't have to use it vs Deebs. This is the more crit safe version of the strat. Other Anklerender breeds are more crit susceptable with this strat.

R1: Black Claw
R2: Hunting Party
R3: Hunting Party (Deebs Dies here)
R4: Primal Cry
R5: Black Claw (just to soak the Surge of LIght)
R6: Swap to Blight hawk if Anklerender still alive.

From here, Infected claw until Tyri is in Ghostly Bite range.

On the first round vs Puzzle, swap to Carry Pet (Puzzle always dodges)
Swap back to Blighthawk and Infected Claw until Puzzle in Ghostly Bite Range (remember Puzzle's debuff buffs your damage).

P/x Anklerender: These are the remaining breeds (P/P, P/S, P/B) and are all slower than the first two enemy pets baseline. This means, that Primal Cry should be used on R1 vs Deebs, so it can be recast on the first round vs Tyri (otherwise they are too slow)

R1: Primal Cry
R2: Black Claw
R3: Hunting Party
R4: Hunting Party (Deebs Dies here)
R5: Primal Cry (you'll die here)
R6: Liftoff to avoid the Surge of Light

From here, Infected claw until Tyri is in Ghostly Bite range.

On the first round vs Puzzle, swap to Carry Pet (Puzzle always dodges)
Swap back to Blighthawk and Infected Claw until Puzzle in Ghostly Bite Range (remember Puzzle's debuff buffs your damage).

Both of these strats are still susceptible to darkness misses, but the blighthawk is hearty enough to do well against the last two pets if you have to deviate and if you are using the S/S anklerender, then there is a chance it will still be alive and you can swap it in to tank the 2nd surge of light if you got unlucky. Non S/S anklerenders are not crit safe vs Deebs, so keep that in mind.
