WoD Garrison setup for collectors ? ...

Hi folks

I havent used my WoD beta invite (too busy with finishing MoP stuff). I have looked at some dynamics regarding Garrisons and how they interact with professions. My question to you all is :

Is there a better zone choice or better buildings to choose for getting a maximum # of pets from the garrison setup?(the pet menagerie is a given ... but is it wise to have a 2nd menagerie on an alt?)

It seems like there are a couple of new engineering pets, one that pops out of herbs and others tied to professions but what I dont know is whether you 'must' have a certain garrison building or not be able to obtain that pet at all ...

As a small update: All pets that are obtained from garrison buildings are cageable except for the Pygmy Cow.

So if you'd rather not build a specific building just for the pet, you can wait until the pet pops up on the AH or request to trade for it.

The only building you must build on at least one character is the Barn for the cow.

I would recommend building the barn and inn, that way the only pet you need to get from ah or from someone else is the trading post one, and that building looks like its major pain to set up for that pet anyway as you need to collect all kinds of stuff from everywhere to repair the ancient trading mechanism required for it.

I don't think you need to repair the robot for the pet. In one of the recent beta patches a quartermaster vendor was added to the level 2 Trading Post, so I think you'll be able to purchase the pet just by upgrading the building to level 2 (and after grinding the necessary reputation, of course).

Oh that sounds better, what is the purpose of that robot then, though? Still I guess I will just make the trading post in place of the inn on an alt who I wont be doing much dungeons with anyway, and keep the inn and barn on my main who I can do them every day with, and who is also blacksmith so can use the savage blood from the barn.

I believe the robot in the Trading Post allows access to the AH. Pretty convenient if you play the AH often but don't want to have to travel to a major city.
