Are Battle stone Enhanced Rares as good as Native blues?

I have heard a lot of talk when it comes to turning a pet into a rare using one of the many battle stones. My question is, are the stats as good on a natively found rare? Are the stats better when you find a certain critter in blue? Also if this is true that native blues aren't as good in the stats is a converted from a higher rarity give better stats to the end critter?

Never heard that before. A pet tamed rare is completely identical to a pet stoned rare, provided their levels and breed match. I think where the misunderstanding might lie is supposedly at one point, when pets got stoned, the breed had a possibility of changing. I've never seen that happen though.
