8 Pet Powerlvl Guide for Pandaren Spirits and Tamers.

Post by Disturbiå » November 4th, 2013, 9:52 pm

This Mini-Guide is intended to work with the "5.4 Guide to Master Tamer (levelling) + Beasts of Fable" by Rendigar located in the Community Guide forums.

Hello All!

I've recently returned to pet battling and after some bad ( slaughtering  ) matches I decided enough was enough and started researching into the breeds of pets. As you probably already know a pets breed can mean the difference between winning or losing that epic battle. So after a simple search and a long look at my pets I realized I had poor pet breeding  and really needed to focus on finding the right pets to get the job done.

Sadly that means leveling brand new pets.

Although my current pets werent perfect for pvp battles, they do work for leveling the new ones. With that in mind, and using Rendigars "Master Pet List", I have compiled a power leveling team of 8 pets that will dominate the daily grind in Pandaria and pwrlvl 2 possibly 3 pets a day as well as stock your bandage inventory, make some gold, and possibly even produce extra spirit pets and/or flawless battle-stones.

One thing to keep in mind is that these pets and combo's are probably not the best, and by no means the fastest, to use to clear the Pandaria dailies but they DO provide the ability to carry a lvl5* or higher through each fight with minimal deaths and or restarts. *Would not go any lower than lvl 5 as some of the Spirit teams do considerable dmg to back line pets.

So if you're looking for a quick way to get your pets lvl'd and dont have all day to do it take a look at the list below and enjoy.

Walk-throughs:

Pandaren Spirits:

Thundering Pandaren Spirit - Silkbead Snail (Ab, AG, Di)/ lvl pet / Anubisath Idol (De, Sa, De)

Start with Snail. first move should be Dive. If Dive misses forfeit and start again.
Rotations -
Snail - Dice, Acidic Goo, Absorb(3) - Repeat until your pet is dead. Should get you close to half way through Sludgy's health.
- If lvl pet is higher than 15 swap in now for one round. pet will take some dmg. swap to Anub
- If lvl pet is below lvl 15 swap to Anub first to finish off Sludgy. Switch to lvl pet on first round of Darnak while he applies stoneskin and immediately switch back to Anub.
Anubisath - Save Deflection for Darnaks Burrow. Apply Sandstorm first. Then use Demolish to fill. Provided you dont miss more than 3 times you will be able to kill Darnak before Anub dies.

Whispering Pandaren Spirit - Celestial Dragon (F, AB, M) / lvl pet / Chrominius (B, H, SoP)

Would advise not using a pet below lvl 15 as there will be dmg dealt during swap.
Start with Celestial Dragon using the following rotation - Moonfire, Ancient Blessing, Flamethrower until MF cd complete then repeat. Swap in lvling pet on Dustys first Cocoon Strike, then immediately swap back to Celestial. Use Celestial until Air Spirit kills, then swap to Chrominius castinh Howl then Surge of Power killing Spirit.

Flowing Pandaren Spirit - lvl pet / Amber Moth (SW, CS, MD) / Celestial Dragon (F, AB, M)

Burning Pandaren Spirit - Anubisath Idol (Cr, St, De) / lvl pet / Chrominius (AE, AB, SoP)

Pandaria Battle Pet Tamers:

Aki the Chosen - Anubisath Idol (Cr, Sa, De)/ lvl pet / Amber Moth (SW, CS, MD)

Two low lvl pet fight.
Start with Anub. First cast should always be Sandstorm. Switch in lvl pet. This is an excelent fight for lvl 1 pets as they will take no dmg while Sandstorm is active. Switch back to Anub using Crush and keeping Sandstorm active. Be aware that you need to reserve Sandstorm for 2nd pet Stormlash's Call Lightning which is normally his first cast and thereofr you may need to pass a round or two on Chirrup in order to let the Sandstorm CD finish. Cast Sandstorm immediately afterwards Stormlash cast Call Lightning. Depending on Anubs health you may or maynot need to switch to the Amber Moth for Whiskers. 4/5 times I am able to use Anub for all three enemy pets and carry two lvling pets in this fight. If you are using Anub then reserve Deflection for Whiskers Dive ability and use Sandstorm on CD.

Hyuna of the Shrines - Celestial Dragon (F, AB, M)/ lvl pet / Effervescent Glowfly (SW, CS, To)

Acceptable fight for any low lvling pet as Dor has one attack and the rest of his abilities cause no dmg.
Start with Celestial and follow rotation Moonfire, Ancient Blessing, Flamethrower untill MF cd complete then repeat. This should get you past the first two fights. If not swap to Glowfly to finish 2nd fight. Swap in lvling pet after Dor completes first head butt, wait one round, and then swap back to Glowfly. Sadly Celestial cannot kill Dor due to Dors healing ability.

Farmer Nishi - Celestial Dragon (F, AB, M)/ lvl pet / Anubisath Idol (De, Sa, De)

Lvling pet must be able to take minimal dmg. Suggest lvl 10 or higher.
Start encounter with Celestial using Moonfire first to counteract Sirens Sunlight. Follow with Flamthrower and Ancient Blessing as needed. Swap lvling pet in on Toothbreakers first Sons of the Root (submerged) for one round and then swap back to Celestial Dragon. Stay with dragon until Brood kills him (mostly likely first Burrow, then switch to Anub using Defelction on Burrow. First cast should be Sandstorm, followed by Demolished. Brood should die before next Burrow.

Mo'ruk - Spirebound Crab (Sn, RM, SS) / lvl pet / Celestial Dragon (F, AB, M)

Would advise not using a pet below lvl 15 as there is a slight possibility it will need to finish the fight.
Start with Crab. First apply Shell Shield, then Renewing Mist, and use Snap to attack. Make sure to keep Shield and Mist up at all times. Fight will take several rounds but this allows your Crab to last well into the 2nd fight. Once Crab dies swap in lvl pet for one round and then switch to Dragon. Dragon rotation is Moonfire, Ancient blessing, and fill with Flameblower. Dragon will be near dead when fight done.

Wastewalker Shu - lvl pet (1 rnd)/ Red Cricket (Sk, CS(wait for 1 rd of WP left), NT(use after CS) / Anubisath Idol (Cr, Sa, De)*prob wont need

Seeker Zusshi - Silkbead Snail (Ab, AG, Di) / lvl pet / Anubisath Idol (De, Sa, De)

Would advise not using a pet below lvl 15 as there can be back row dmg during encounter.
Quick and Easy Strat -
Open with Snail for Diamond using Dive on same round Diamond uses chill (normal 2nd) avoiding Howling Blast the next round. Swap to lvling pet when Diamond dies, wait 1 round, swap to Anub reserving Deflection for Mollus Dive ability and as needed in Skimmer fight. Skimmer will cast Cleansing Rain first so counter with Sandstorm to remove the increased aquatic dmg bonus from Cleansing Rain.

Dirty RNG Strat -
(2 lvling pets and Anubisath)
Start with Anub using Deflection after you are chilled during Diamond fight, and after Dive during Mollus fight. Swap to first lvl pet after Mollus finishes first Dive. Swap to second lvl pet after Mollus finishes second dive. Swap back to Anub. Finish with Anub against Skimmer using Sandstorm to counter act Cleansing Rain. Failure on this strat is dependent upon hit and misses by Anub during the encounter and his HP. Longer the fight more likely to lose.

Courageous Yon - Anubisath Idol (De, Sa, De) / lvl pet / lvl pet

Two low lvl pet fight.
Start with Anub. First cast should always be Sandstorm. Switch in lvl pet. This is an excelent fight for lvl 1 pets as they will take no dmg while Sandstorm is active. Switch back to Anub using Demolish and keeping Sandstorm active. Swap in 2nd low lvl pet during second sandstorm. Reserve Anubs Deflection for 3rd fight when Bleats' Chew ability. You will cast Deflection when he has the 1 round buff.

Excelent guide, congrats!!
The only fight I have not been able to finish with your comp is Thundering Spirit, Crush is weak against his mole and Stoneskin soaks up most of the damage, while Demolish misses most of the time especially under Sandstorm. I used your comp to level a lvl 21 rabbit that did most of the damage and avoided a ton himself with Burrow and Dodge.
A tip for Corageous Yon, I use it many times to bring two very low level pets up to around lvl 7-10 at the same time:
Courageous Yon can be done just with Anubisath Idol using Crush, Sandstorm and Deflection. Against all his three pets start with Sandstorm, then Crush which will miss against Piqua and Lapin but that is the point.
That turn Piqua will use Lift off, Lapin will Burrow and Bleat will Chew. You'll want to use Deflection then, because that way you'll avoid all of those pets most harmfull abilities.
There will be three turns left on Sandstorm after that, swap in your leveling pet for a couple of turns. It will suffer no damage unless it's elemental, Sandstorm will negate Flock and Stampede, and will diminish a lot of Flurry's damage (elemental pets ignore weather effects, so Sandstorm protection wont work).
After that, go back to Anubisath and repeat. Use Crush to finish all of Yon's pets, while using Sandstorm on cooldown. Crush is weak against Bleat but it will kill it anyway.

Nice post, very few 25s required. You should add where it's safe, or safest, to swap your leveling pet.
On the thundering spirit for example, it's probably as first pet to soak the stun,

or another gap after the 2nd pet dies:
You swap your - level 1 even- pet in >rat will shield himself > you swap to anubis > rat burrows .. no harm done and your leveling pet will get credit.

To answer Wixey above: Against Thundering Spirit don't use the lowbie first, use the snail. It's a critter, so it wont get stunned, and that way you'll be able to bring the elemental down faster. I'd use the lowbie on the last pet, the mole, because it uses Stoneskin first always, or against the magic blob but it should be high enough to soak up some DoT damage.
