I don't think people still do that when you can get the stones for 45 pet charms now quicker to farm the charms. Or maybe they do but just use the stones. Make sure you get the pet shoulder enchant from brianna's shop HUGE help!

I think people ignore levels of pets these days.
People with level 1 pets undercut offers with level 25 pets (and the other way) with tiny amounts all time. The rarity may still account, but it's like a 10-20% bonus to the original price (unless it's undercut later).

Myself, however, I'm used to level pets to 24 (not 25 because of Pro Pet Mob) because it makes me feel better towards a customer. I mean, someone who sells a level 1 pet doesn't even have to be a pet collector; but a trained pet shows that at least I have enough insight to collect stones and Pet Charms. On the other hand, I sometimes see people attempt to resell the 24s that they have purchased from me, so nothing is a rule.

I still get asked about "leveling" pets to 25 (aka I throw stones at it) and charge 1500 a pop, as you can imagine nowadays no one is interested in paying that! :D

I do as well. Lets me use the charms/stones on any extra special pets that I want to use immediately. Plus, why not. I enjoy it. If I didn't I wouldn't have done it over 800 times!

After many year of raiding, I finally got into pet collecting and a rare lvl 25 goes for 2900g to 4500g for all the most common cage pets. The mechanical Pandarien and similar pets go for 12-14K g and the hard ones gor for 40-99K, then the supper rare ones are incredibly variable. Playing wow so much I had lots of gold so buying them gave me a head start. I still spam the AH and buy anything under 5K that is LvL 25 and I don't have. (hint hint to anyone on Arthras server)
