Hello,

The recent change to secure http required for the picture hosting site of signature images has caused my sigpic to stop displaying. I tried the quickfix of editing the url from http to https but for tinypic this didnt work.

I've tried another service thats already https domain, imageBB.com but im getting "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image." error.

Can anyone thats got their sigpic displaying properly please share the name of the working picture service?

Thanks for reading,

Logan

Well, I'm afraid most of the current image hosting services are far from perfect.

Try this: https://oi64.tinypic.com/iycyzt.jpg -- it seems that the formatting of server ID has been changed.

Don't try mine one. I've discovered it quite a while ago, but now the ads visible after uploading are so obnoxious that I think they're either infected or unworthy. Sometimes it is shut down for a while.

Stay away from Imgur, as they don't really focus on personal purposes -- it's more a community tool, and it compresses images greatly.

I have no opinion on websites that require registration. Perhaps they rarely allow hotlinks, however.

Remember that you can upload your pic to Warcraft Pets as long as it has up to 256 KiB. I think you have to… cleverly use a post for that?

Hey Pala, great to hear from you again, thanks for responding to the thread.

I just checked my .png and its only 103KB

How please, do I go about uploading it here, and then navigating to it via my Control Panel?

or are you just using attachment feature on your posts?

You have done it before actually -- check out [url=https://www.warcraftpets.com/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15709#p124952]this early post[/url]. :)

For a test, I've copied the address of that uploaded file (I'm aware it's the older one! It's just a test!) and put them between img tags, I can see it properly(Quote to preview the way.).

ImageBB was the first free site I found that was truly free and I uploaded my sigpic there, but the control panel here couldnt determine the image size or display it when it was hosted there for some reason.

Due to [url=https://www.pcmag.com/news/354711/photobucket-breaks-image-links-across-the-internet]a change in the Photobucket policy[/url] some user signatures are broken.

I've managed to retrieve signatures for two users thanks to the Wayback Machine, but it seems to be a lucky exception.

I'd like to tell anyone who used to host their pic here to check out the situation. Though perhaps this isn't the most visited place. :)

It may take some time to change hosting, as server ID changes occur so the process takes a lot of time.

So I agree with, if while using warcraft pets to upload your image reach 256 kib.
