Forum Karma?

Hello! Firstly thanks for everything this site provides, it truly is an absolute treasure trove. 
During my morning read I was wondering if the forum could have a karma system implemented, or if you had any thoughts on the idea. There have been several posts recently where I didn't have anything to contribute, but a nice thumbs-up or +1 karma to a very helpful reply might have been nice to have given to the OP.
