I just updated my pet collection on the site here and went from 1054 unique pets to 2 unique pets. It should have went up to 1058 unique pets as shown in my armory.

Same here, my pet total is now two (down from 1116. I tried the steps shown in your FAQ. Didn't get my pets back.

I'm down to 1.

We're looking into the error, however it might be an issue on Blizzard's end with their API. If so, we'll have to wait for them to address and fix it.

Hopefully the error will resolve itself in the near future.

So, weirdly I logged out and then changed my character to another character on the same realm and it was back to the right amount. But then I tried to change it to another alt and it didn't work. Only thing I can think of is the second character I tried had special characters in her wow name...same with the original character.

Updating my character allowed the scan to work for me as well. I updated it to a character that has not been to Nazjatar or Mechagon yet.

I lost almost all my pets, too.

Changing characters to one who had not yet been to Nazjatar worked for me as well. Just pick one of your non-max level toons and you should be good to go until Blizz fixes the API.

Just updated mine and it's gone down to two pets as well.

Checked my character on the armoury and, although it's showing all my old pets, it's not registering any of the new ones I got today, so it seems like there ARE issues on Blizzard's end.

Our lead web developer submitted a report to Blizzard yesterday. We're waiting to see if there's a response.

In the meantime, try this workaround to get your WarcraftPets collection up-to-date:

1. Log onto your main toon (refreshes your collection)
2. Log out of the game completely
3. Go to WarcraftPets and change the toon you import from to another character (if you have one) that you have NOT logged into post-8.2, and is above level 10. (Using a character on another server, different from your main, seems to work best.)
4. Attempt re-importing

This seems to work for most users, but not all.

That workaround is not working for me...

I too got bumped down to 2 pets.

As stated the work around did not work for me either, but I tried using a character that I have not logged in at all since before 8.2 released and I have my list back again.

Any character logged in after 8.2 released is now bugged. I tried several characters before trying the one I haven't logged in. That character is level 77 and haven't really played her in a few years. Sort of made her a AH character that I only log in to sell stuff.

I had the same thing happen have 1126 unique pets, updated, and went down to 2 unique pets.

I have been watching this for a couple of days. Any of the toons that you are playing will show as affected so you may want to hold out playing an odd alt until the issue is reported fixed on blizzard's end. This pretty much is the same as Morlis has seen.

On a good note the odd alt will see all the pet adds and achievements.
