What breed of Bonkers is the best?
Just wondering what you all think. What breed is best and why? Thank you!
Re: What breed of Bonkers is the best?
SS is the superior pvp pet. Due to better use of dodge, and landing tornado punch before the opponent with a chance to stun them and force them to miss a turn.
Re: What breed of Bonkers is the best?
Definitely S/S if you plan to use [ability]Dodge[/ability] and/or [ability]Tornado Punch[/ability]. Dodge in particular becomes twice as good if you're faster than your opponent, as you get two rounds of dodging.

Thank you so much, yeah I got an SS!!

Compromise and get a P/S like I did
Re: What breed of Bonkers is the best?
I have to settle for H/S at the moment.
I have a feeling it may be a while before I get an S/S of it. I did get a P/P Bonkers the other day though. I realize S/S + Dodge = great and all...but P/P + Going Bonkers can't be too bad either, right?

P/S 289/289
P/P 325/260
S/S 260/325
I pretty much only fight tamers and from that perspective a P/S is unlikely to have enough speed to let you be first and get the most out of dodge. Generally, you generally have to be above 300 to have any shot against tamers to be first. Alex and Dah'da, Wrathion's two dragonkin pets, both have a speed of 300.
If you can't be first, then any points put into speed are wasted. So, if I'm going to have points in speed I want as much as possible (S/S) so that whenever I think "oh, I could use a Bonkers here for the Dodge" that I have the greatest potential to be the faster pet.
Personally, I say get both the P/P and the S/S builds. What else are you going to do with the coins? Maybe you end up not being able to purchase a Burden of Eternity or two, but I feel like I'm kind of rolling in coins right now and I'm still only halfway to Revered with Emperor rep.
Don't compromise! Get a P/P and an S/S!

Re: What breed of Bonkers is the best?
after over 280 keys used on my warlock to get my first Bonkers, I was extremely relieved that it was a S/S because anything under 300 speed has significantly less value for me (Mostly Celestial Tourney, PVE Tamer Dailys and I JUST did start doing pvp fights because I didn't realize there was a pet reward for 250 wins) as almost all "Good" pets will have a 300 speed and dodge is LITERALLY twice as good (you actually are dodging 2 rounds) if your pet with dodge is higher speed.
My rogue got a bonkers after about 50-75 keys that is P/S but I've only gotten him up to level 24.
TL:DR = S/S is best for almost all of the pet battling I do.

Being faster also lets you use Dodge reactively. Say the pet you're fighting uses a move like Burrow or Lift-Off; if you're faster you can Dodge at the start of the next round and avoid that attack. If you're slower you have to know or guess that they will use that move on a given turn and then cast Dodge on that turn so that it will be in place in time for second half of the attack.Tracktastic wrote:dodge is LITERALLY twice as good (you actually are dodging 2 rounds) if your pet with dodge is higher speed.
