Bug with Early Advantage?

My Infinite Whelpling has been my go-to pet for powerleveling but it seems like he has lost his punch that came with "Early Advantage." Usually dont bother healing him between fights in the Vale and would open up with EA every time but it no longer doubling its damage every time. I run floating combat text and am used to seeing the initial hit, and then when the bonus damage triggers there will be a second hit. EVen if the first hit missed, due to a dive or a cocoon shield, the second one would go through that. Now, most of the time I see just the initial hit (~360 damage) even if my Infinite Whelp is well below the health of the other pet with no follow up. The only time it seems to reliably trigger is when I am using it against Pandarian Spirit Tamer or Beasts of Legend, and even then it does not happen all the time.

Just trying to figure out if anyone else is experiencing this, want to call it a bug/glitch but I am not sure. Seemed best to ask here first before moving onto the WoW forums.

Well, that would explain it. Upgraded him with a flawless stone I got on patch day and the boost from uncommon to rare would put his health well above everything in the Vale... Absolutely lovely.

Not total health, just needs to have lower health than the active enemy pet. You'll still see it go off all the time.
