I hadn't done the CT yet so I happened to be in the area so to speak so I went ahead and tried this. It does work but I have some notes.

1. Don't skip the decoy. Even tho it looks like you could just explode and finish him off it won't work. He's going to do his chain attack and with out the decoy he'll kill your mind slayer in the back row.

2. It was really tight. My Zep didn't actually kill him when I exploded so my mind slayer had to hit him one to finish him off. Granted he had like 8 hps left but because of that I think a green bombling would mean too much loss of dmg as you don't have a huge margin. It might work but your mind slayer would definitely have to finish him and he won't survive another hit.

I use mechanical yeti for lightning, tonk for shock and awe, then missile until he's about to die, followed by cannon and then bring the yeti back for another cannon. Never had to use a third pet

My team for this fight is:
1 Stitched Pup H/P
2 Darkmoon Tonk H/P
3 Menagerie Custodian H/H

I win this battle in 5 to 8 rounds depending on RNG
Round 1. Howl forced pet swap to Menagerie.
Round 2. Shock and Awe.
Round 3. Ion Cannon.
Round 4. Recovering
Round 5. Recovering. Custodian usually dies. Enter Darkmoon Tonk.
Round 6. Shock and Awe
Round 7. Ion Cannon.

Call the waaabulance because Little Tommy just got owned.

The simplest and easiest combo I've found...
Any pet with Black Claw + Lil' Bling.

Round 1. Black Claw
Round 2. Inflation
Round 3. Grab some popcorn*
Round 4. Laugh and collect your winnings

*Popcorn optional

-Edited for clarity.

I like Sepsis' option, but I use a slightly different one so I can *sometimes* get a carry pet some exp:

Carry Pet: Non Flyer with HP 1000-1200 (any less can die from his AoE, any more will swap him during frill blast):

R1: Clockwork Gnome - Turret
R2: Zand. Kneebiter - Black Claw
R3: Zand. Kneebiter - Hunting Party

R4:
If the Kneebiter doesn't die this round, you can't get carry pet EXP as Oon will die here
If the Kneebiter dies from crush, then choose the carry pet, then immediately swap out for the barely alive gnome
Oon should die here after the swap

R5: Oon should be dead by now, but if not, just do anything with the gnome and turret will finish him off.

Here is what I use on timmy that works every time.

Darkmoon Zeppelin: Missile, Decoy, Explode
Darkmon Tonk: Missile, Shock and Awe, Ion Cannon
Menagerie Custodian: Zap, Shock and Awe, Ion Cannon

Start with Zeppelin

Round 1: Decoy
Round 2-X: Spam Missile until the zeppelin dies the first time
Round x+1: Explode
(bring in Darkmoon Tonk)
Round x+2: Shock and Awe
Round x+3a: Was Oondasta stunned by shock and awe? If yes Missile, if no skip to 3b.
Round x+3b: Ion Cannon
(Oondasta uses frill blast to switch in your custodian)
Round x+4a: Is Oondasta's health too high to be killed by Ion Cannon? If yes, Shock and Awe, if no skip to 4b.
Round x+4b: Ion Cannon
(Oondasta dies)

The only randomness in the fight is in how many times Oondasta misses with crush, but even if it hits every time, you still win with this setup, even without getting any stuns with shock and awe.

Ion Cannon -» He Swap's for Chrominius -»Howl--» He attacks all pets --Surge of Power --»Swap to Lesser Voidcaller--» Curse of Doom --»Prismatic Barrier---»Darkmoon Tonk--»Shock and Awe--»Ion Cannon.

Let me say that both times, my stun didnt worked and he missed the last attack, before he dies.

But worked for me, hope it helps someone.
This strat worked perfectly for me. I thought I'd lost, but the Tonk's racial kicked in just in time for a DoT to tick off the last of his health. It was close, but it was perfect. Thanks! :)

Three mechanical pets used; (1) Iron Starlette, (2) Lil' Bling, & (3) Mechanical Scorpion. Attack sequence included: Wind-Up & Explode followed by Launch Rocket and SMACKTHAT.EXE followed by Wind-up. Hope this is useful. :D
