Bugged Critters

I just got my giraffe to level 15, but when I go to swap out talents, it says I need pet level 2 or 4 to use them and only the headbutt shows up. Anyone experience something similar or know of a way to fix it? I don't think I'm missing any "pet level" or personal pet battle level on my toon. Thanks!
