Viscous Horror, any good combos?

I possess a Viscous Horror, but trying to make sense of what it is good for.

One thing Ive noticed, Viscous Horror and Stitched Pup is the highest power pets using Plagued Blood. Not entirely sure if the health recovery from Plagued Blood scales with the power of the caster, or if its a fixed amount. But with Evolution you could potentially juice the recovery even higher.

Humm. Combine with a pet casting Call Lightning, perhaps Dragon Kite and using a Clockwork Gnome. If every damage packet procs a heal from the juiced up Plagued Blood.

Plagued Blood heals for 0.2*(20+power), and heals for each hit, which makes it very strong with backrow damage or multi-hit moves. Evolution would pump it to 0.25*(20+power), but if it works like other buffs/debuffs, that would only apply while the Evolution buff is up. The healing benefits a lot more from an extra hit as opposed to having Evolution up. So something like Scourged Whelpling (Tail Whip/Death and Decay/Plagued Blood) can get 0.6*(20+power) healing per turn plus 1.4*(20+power) damage per turn.

Hrm. Sounds like Plagued Blood works great with a Fiendish Imp to allow it to doubledip on healing with Immolation and humanoid racial.

But do you see anything the Viscous Horror really does well at, compared to other pets?

No, not really. The only reason would be if you really want Plagued Blood but don't want to use an UD. The Absorb/Corrosion/Evolution moveset is better than Absorb/Plagued Blood/Evolution for general use, but it isn't unique to the Horror. The Absorb/Plagued Blood/Evolution moveset could be good for abusing Plagued Blood with backrow damage/dots/multihit attacks, but it's hard to see a reason to use the Horror over Scourged Whelpling for this. In this role, the Plagued Blood caster's job is to keep Plagued Blood up and survive while the Imp/Gnome heal in the back, and the high health plus being UD plus Tail Whip and a DoT make the Whelpling very good at this. The big issue for this team is Sandstorm and other shields, and the Horror doesn't solve this problem any better than the UD options.
