Life Exchange and Legendaries

Right, I know this pet isn't an easy to obtain/common pet...but I thought I would like to mention for those lucky people that have an Etheral Soul Trader them how useful they are against the new battle pets with an extortionate amount of HP. Players, take advantage of life exchange and I practically solo'd all of them with him maybe finish it off with another that has a strength against it (mechanical on the beasts etc). Not sure what others may have this ability if others can inform me that would be great!

Good luck all, this was extremely easy! :D

Not only is Life Exchange great but keep in mind Predatory Strike kills at 1000HP. Life Exchange, swap to a strong pet until either Life Exchange is off cooldown or the Legendary is at 1000HP, swap in Brilliant Kaliri and Predatory Strike. Bada Bing Bada Boom.

Other pets with Predatory Strike

Crested Owl
Darkmoon Hatchling
Great Horned Owl
Hawk Owl
Miniwing
Snowy Owl

I've actually had really good luck using Harbinger of Flame with his Impale ability for the same purpose.

Someone on wowhead pointed out that using a pet with Sunlight (such as Singing Sunflower) increases the potency of Life Exchange.
[Edit]
Kun-Lai Runt - Rampage hits for ~650 per round on Critters.
Mech abilities Launch Rocket and Wind Up will do over 1000 on a Beast.

I find life exchange very useful on my Nether Fairie Dragon. Pairing that with Slicing Wind works wonders on aquatics.

I don't think that sunlight benefits life exchange, since it "equalizes" the health between you and the opponent. What sunlight DOES benefit though is the % of health moves. For example:

Darkmoon Hatchling has both Predatory Strike and Trample. If you start with Sunlight and switch in the Hatchling, you can do 600 minimum damage with trample, a bit more against the critter legendaries. The magic number for Predatory Strike becomes 1500+.

The biggest downside for this l'il guy is that he IS a critter, and thus weak against legendary beast types. Also, he probably won't last enough turns to use both moves effectively. It would take about 5-6 turns for the hatchling to kill the opponent, assuming the first pet only uses sunlight, and no other moves.

Sunlight to Life Exchange to Predatory Strike

Try it, you'll like it.

Totally unnecessary, of course. But so are pet battles!

PS You may need to hit them once along the way, as well.

I used this combo yesterday (Soul of the Aspects/Nether Faerie Dragon/Darkmoon Hatchling) on all the elite pets and I was extremely impressed at how well it worked. There was only one I had to take a second crack at because of bad RNG and still learning the comp. (Greyhoof maybe? I don't remember)

I use Terrible Turnip, Sprite Darter Hatchling, and a level 7(!!!) Harbinger of Flame to whack the "legendary" pets.
