Mr. Wiggles is an ordinary critter saved one special move: Uncanny Luck. Using Uncanny Luck gives your team 4 rounds of +50% accuracy and +25% critical hit rate; perfect for low accuracy moves like Moth Balls, allowing a clean 4-5 hits per use of the move, typically with a critical or two to boot. Add in a Call Lightning and you will clean house.

Nexus Whelpling is a nice pet to try if you're having trouble with the Darkmoon daily.

Although his Tail Sweep provides great damage against Jeremy's Darkmoon Eye and Mana Surge's damage is nothing to be ashamed of, Nexus Whelpling really shines with Arcane Storm!

Since this ability prevents pets from being stunned for the duration of the storm, it'll force Jeremy's Darkmoon Monkey to skip his first turn (you know, then that terrible monkey would Clobber and spank you) and thus give you a nice advantage!

I found this guy to be excellent for helping level lower level pets in Valley of the Four Winds as most of the wild pets there are critters. His two heals Ancient Blessing and Ravage (when timed properly) keep him up with very little effort.

Enchanted Broom

Sweep forces the opponent's highest health pet to swap into battle. This also includes opponents who are unattackable due to flying or being burrowed.

It also is the only non-mechanical pet with Wind Up

When farming Minfernal make sure to kill/battle the Tainted Rat if you ignore it then there is less chance that the Minfernal will spawn. Floating above the spawn points and leaving the Tainted Rat running around is counter productive.

HFC - Hazardous Flying Chicken

Postby Trixi » February 7th, 2013, 8:35 pm

The Rocket Chicken is a must when it comes to mechanical mini pets. He is so fast and has many powerful attacks against the Beast type. His Toxic Smoke is very useful combined with his Launch move which does so much damage to the enemy. Then it is easy to finish off the enemy with a Missile attack. All this without losing much HP !! That little guy is so awesome he will litterally BLOW your mind !

Hippogryph Hatchling is a great TCG pet to acquire and level. (Also her sister pet, Cenarion Hatchling!) She can become the foundation of your team to help power level pets in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Just use their Reckless Strike ability to destroy the aquatic wild critters you encounter!

(In fact, having both a Hippogryph Hatchling and a Cenarion Hatchling on a team with a leveler makes the level grinding super speedy!)

Rapana Whelk

For dealing with the Pandaren Elemental dailies in Pandaria, I have yet to find a better choice for your team than the Rapana Whelk. I'm sure that any pet with the Dive ability will work, but combined with Absorb and Shell Shield it's very nice. Basically, you can submerge, miss attacks for a turn, then deal a very strong attack against your elemental opponent. Then you can soak damage with your shield and heal/damage while you're waiting to Dive again. It works amazingly for me, and has let me one shot most of the Pandaren Elementals.

Plus, since the whelks are already high level when you capture them, they take little time to cap level. They can be found in plentiful numbers in the southern Dread Wastes.

Hope this was helpful!

Darkshore Cub

Weren’t around to get a Baby Blizzard Bear? Not willing to spend thousands of dollars to get a Panda Cub? Don’t want to do dailies from past expansions to get a Dun Morogh Cub or Hyjal Bear Cub? Still want a bear? Then the Darkshore Cub is for you!

Darkshore Cub is the only bear available as a wild pet, with a dark brown fur color to match the Ashenvale Bears to the south. As a wild pet, this little guy also comes in more breeds than the others, who are limited to a single breed each. Darkshore Cub can be B/B like the Panda Cub and Hyjal Bear Cub, or H/P like the Dun Morogh Cub and Baby Blizzard Bear, but only in the Darkshore Cub can you get a P/P bear!

As a bear, he has beast attacks to do additional damage against critters. But to truly watch the damage numbers spike, pair him with a pet with a bleed. I prefer my Alpine Chipmunk and her Woodchipper, but Rip from Muckbreath (or the other crocs) work just as well. Apply the bleed, swap to your bear, and hit Maul. Gape at the massive damage, even against non critters.

Having trouble with the bear from Major Payne in Northrend? Match him with one of your own! Attack when he attacks, hibernate when he hibernates, then knock him out when he tries for a second nap.

They’re found in ample numbers in southern Darkshore, level 3-5. You won’t regret it.

Kirin Tor Familiare

Use Arcane Explosion if you know it will kill the current pet that it is facing. Doing so will also give you an edge by damaging the other pets on the back line before you face them.

Enchanted Lantern or it's world event equivalents Festival Lantern and Lunar Lantern are wonderful pets to counter a certain type of over-used mechanical powerhouse. First of all, they're magic and can't take more than 40% of their health in a single blow making them un-one-shottable. Their Burn is elemental, and subsequently strong against these mechanical menaces. If that isn't enough, they come with Soul Ward to straight-up block that one special attack! These are also great against other mechanical opponents that deal high damage such as Ion Cannon, Shock and Awe and Lock-On.

Can be used for his Sandstorm! Start the fight with him, swap out to a low level pet for a turn, and swap back for quick pet leveling! The Sandstorm reduces both the dmg your lower lvl pet will take, and the chance that the opponent has to hit them!

Tiny Harvester

I always have one mechanical pet in my teams, this one specially. They are a great combination of power with survability, Extra Plating reduces a lot the damage taken, Repair they can heal themselves and if dont miss the Demolish you'll probably one shot your oponent or at least get him to 50% :D
Happy hunting!!!! :D

If you're looking to get a Wanderer's Festival Hatchling, there are a couple of things to know or remember:

1. Server events, like the Wanderer's Festival, are based on PST now, rather than server time, so keep in mind the time difference if it exists for you.

2. Make a targeting macro for this little guy, since only a few spawn with the fireworks at the beginning and end. I was originally using /tar Wanderer's, but the lanterns that spawn in the water are called Wanderer's Festival Lanterns. I ended up going with /tar Wanderer's Festival Hatch.

Mr. Bigglesworth

One of my friends wanted the Raiding With Leashes achieve as well as Mr. B, but the other pets not so much. I caged and traded the pets he needed until he had earned the achieve, and he traded them back in return. Easy to do -- and very cheap -- if you have a collector friend and want Mr. B while you work on farming up the rest of the raid pets for your collection!

Amber Moth is perhaps the most inconspicuous power house in the BattlePet kingdom. There are two great ways to use Amber Moth. First as a tank, using Moth Dust to put your enemies to sleep, and when you know you're about to take a big hit pop Cocoon Strike first to become immune to it. Secondly as a damage dealer, if you need a ton of damage use Moth Balls and Slicing Wind to burn them down.

Ethereal Soul-Trader - Always remember to make sure he's out when you land before engaging a mob -or better yet group of mobs- or you may miss out on Ethereal Credits. Also, inner vision plus soul rush on a flyer is pretty much instant death. Very powerful lil glass cannon.

Alpine Foxling Kit

Don't neglect this little guy's Dazzling Dance ability! Coupled with his Flurry which will strike an extra time if your pet is faster, it can really make a substantial difference against Master Tamers, Grand Master Tamers, and the ever-popular Undead family of pets. It lasts 9 rounds after being used, so other pets on your team can make excellent use of it.

Fluxfire Feline - You can do a massive hit by casting Wind-up first, followed by Supercharge, and then Wind-up again. Before you cast the second Wind-up, you can switch your pet out and keep the buffs for a late game strong attack.

Fire Beetle / Lava Beetle

Definitely my favourite (two...) of the Beetle pet family! Still sitting in the Critter family they've got a nice palate of skills at hand. Whether you choose to go with Burn or Flank is moot; they're both great skills without cooldowns. While Hiss makes sure Flank has a greater chance of putting out its maximum potential and Scorched Earth is an outright great skill, both great for general Wild Pet battles, they don't compare to the combination of Cauterize and Apocalypse in those lengthy Tamer battles, as well as PvP Pet Battles!

While Apocalypse did recieve an increased CD it is exceptional, especially if you can keep that beautiful little bug alive! On a personal note; I love matching this guy with a Magical Crawdad and Singing Sunflower: combine their skills pallet and you have a very tanky, healing team - which while still doing damage, will lead to the enemy pet dropping dead and a pretty red Beetle surviving! :D

Singing Sunflower buffs up both pets: using Sunlight the weather is changed; increasing the Health and healing done of all pets. It doubles the effect of Photosynthesis too, making it much easier for you to switch to your next pet...
Magical Crawdad is the teams tank, more so with Sunny weather - the poor guy must be burning up! :( . Using Renewing Mists there's a lot of HoTs (Healing over Time) active on your team. Next turn a Wish is in order before switching back to your lovely Fire Beetle/Lava Beetle to see them get healed (probably to full health) and back in game to heal themselves and fight some more!

The full track of switching pets lasts 7 rounds in total; switching to Singing Sunflower and finally back to your Fire Beetle/Lava Beetle. Two round trips and, if you're back on your Beetle, Apocalypse activates.
However this does not account for stuns/weather changes - but that doesn't mean it will not work. It is by all means a slow, but fun process! No one likes the player that never dies but your pets certainly will. ;)

...Beware of Grunty!
