Blackrock depths pet dungeon overtuned?

I know it is soon after the patch release but this dungeon is tough.

In time, people will drum up better strategies I'm sure, but the length of some of the battles is onerous.
2 stages have 60-70+ round fights in this same dungeon and a third fight is also iffy,
you can end up there 1 hour or more to complete it.
The opponents have heavy hitting attacks, many have mondo hp and crit often- so rng and pet breed choices are factors.

The last stage has a boss with nutty hp but it's actually an easy fight.

There is also 1 fight which pretty much requires broot or the blossoming ancient.. that's cheesy imho.

On the plus side.. The achieve you get for completing all the pet dungeons awards a toy that gives you 30 seconds
to BE your battlepet (your toon casts a spell while you can run and jump 'controling' acting as your pet).

This is actually much more doable now compared to when it was when it was first released on the PTR. So they've tuned it down already.

Keep in mind that this is the final pet dungeon in this set of dungeons (there's even a meta-achievement with it being the final step). The difficulty could be to help reflect that it's the climax of all that we've been battling toward.

Your point is well taken. I don't mind a challenge nor battles that require move choices away from a script.
To acquire the pets for the dungeon will take 6 run throughs... I just think pet dungeons are best designed like other
WoW dungeons whereby, as a player, even in future expansions..you enjoy running them and can possibly get drop rewards.

I'm sure many players continue to try their luck in Wailing Caverns since the everliving spore is so valuable and the dungeon is
easy enough... BRD may not even be done the 6 time 'minimum' except for by the most persistent/insistent players.

Of course I wish everyone the best rng and encourage you all to have fun with it.

P.S. - the dungeon reward pets look quite useful and the mech bear ones are snappy looking-
experiment 13 (3 token one) has ion cannon and build turret in it's repertoire

I don't feel it's overturned at all..... It's just a step or two up, because Stratholme was horribly undertuned.

As for needing Broot.....why is that a problem? It's literally a pet you can get for free, since we've by now gotten a total of 4 level boosts, and you can simply park your newly boosted Druid in the class hall, get the perks/skills/talents/whatever it's called and the log in every now and again to check if you were lucky to receive it.
I LOVE when a battle requires specialist pets, and think there are way too few of them.
AL long as it's pets that are available in unlimited supply (i.e. it's not OK to require a Vanilla CE pet),I say go for it.

I'm inclined to agree on the overtuning. I mean, having all tamers running Epic pets is fine, or even Legendary as it was in the Celestial Tournament. But making them Elite on top of that makes the dungeon artificially long and unfair, even if you have a sizeable roster and decent knowledge.

Endgame or not, I can't even imagine how frustrating this may be for those who are relatively new to battling.

Well .. I qualify as new , yet not new.
I started pet battles in 2012 but left the game twice since then. I rebuilt my pet squad each time.

This round, I came back 2 months ago and had about 270 pets at max before entering BRD
The dungeon can be beaten obviously ...I just find it's very long to do..so even collecters might shy away
after nabbing the toy and achievement. Guess time will tell.

It's probably not really meant for people who are new to battling. You can't even get the quest till you've run the other pet dungeons. And at some point during that, if you decide you do like pet battles, odds are you'll start figuring out how to get some of the harder pets to acquire or, farm the auction house if that's your thing.

I liked BRD more than Gnomer. I still have nightmares about that place from Vanilla so maybe that's why. :)

Pet Battles

Blackrock Depths Pet Battle Dungeon
The difficulty of Therin Skysong, Alran Heartshade, Zuna Skullcrush pet battle encounters have been lowered.

Looks like it's been nerfed. I've not run it yet this week, but hopefully this means it won't take quite as long.

I ran it for a second time tuesday after reset.
It was no easier, it took longer than my first try at it.Therin and Zuna were both nasty.

I did it in one -uninterrupted- run but I needed multiple tries at 3 or 4 of the tougher ones despite using published 'successful' comps. I estimate the total run-time at well over an hour.

I don't mind so much because I like the pet rewards on offer..both their looks and movesets.

Stages 4 6, 7 and 8 can all be very tough
The roach (apocalypse) / lovebird hatch(stun) / fawn (i use gleamhoof) healer combo is awesome(but lengthy) and foolproof for 2 of the 4 tough fights btw

Did it yesterday on normal, and today chalange mode. So borring and weak, what I even forget how I did few fights on normal, so had to redisign them
Only 1 fight I will change later is against 2 mech. I need more stable win strategy (at last 100% chance) ;)

Update
This week through ... I can confirm a significant nerf. Not one fight failed and it 'felt' quite a bit easier in the sense that the damage taken, damage output and numbers of crits suffered by my comps were all in very comfortable ranges.

This does reduce the time to run the dungeon a lot.
I earnec Experiment 13 today and was happy to summon and biscuit that guy up.. it's a great pet.
I do love using build turret in battles so ii will be a handy pet to have in the stable.
